Hello brothers! Here I'll post my various wip works that I hope you enjoy.

For an easy start... here's the comunity post of my Imperial Fist army and then here we go with my first Iron Warrior.

He's still in progress, the paint is a bit thick and the lava base seems a burned pizza, but I'm still happy with this test model.

Looking pretty good! IMHO the lava could have a few more orange bits, but I really like the mini

Cool. I'll try when I'll finish to paint it.

About the mini, it's just kit bashing:

 

head from fantasy woc without horns

torso from biker csm

backpack (trimmed, I don't like as it come out) from biker csm

skull on the backpack from fantasy woc kit

right shoulder pad from berzerks

right arm from sm devastators

left upper arm sm devastators + left powerfist from chaos termy (i cut the middle finger)

left shoulder pad from FW

legs from berzerks (removed the khorne logo on the knee)

Here we go with the finished model. I try to add some red on the feet and lower legs to give the idea of the lava reflections.

Then the next kit bashed model in progress. I'm happy with the elmet that remind of a Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. I'm less happy with the legs, because he seeems he's falling down more than running...

Since my last post was lost in warp because of the B&C database restore, I'll repost the new HQ choice for my chaos space marine.

I just did the first paint layer. The "legs" are not glued, so I can change their placement on the base I still have to do.

About the base I got no clear ideas, suggestions are wellcome.

I like the sentinel legs - might have to steal that idea. Look forward to seeing more.

Both models are looking great. How about sticking with the lava theme for the base? to tie your models together.

Yes, but because the base is much more bigger, I should add something else... I donno maybe some demonic hands coming out of the lava...

Another important point is... should I keep the daemon prince clean or should I add some gore and put some rust on the legs ?

Meanwhile the running cylon become a BSB. I still have to add some details, but it's almost finished.

I would go with keeping the model fairly clean. I think it is far too easy to go overboard with gore and dirt.

Well, to my caos should not be so much clean...

so I decided to add some gore n dirt just because i needed to brak the mono tone of the skin and legs...

but I add few.

In the grim future of the 40k, the style means all.

I'm back to my IW with a new funny mod. That ponytail is so SoH style, it doesn't suit very well for IW.
So I gave to my evil speismareen a more fashionable haircut.
It remind me to the bad guy from the fifth element or the inquisitor Drogan in the speismareen videogame.

I need some feedback please!
1st what colour should I choose to paint it ? I was thinking about the style of imperial knight...
2nd Icarus Array or Deredeo Dreadnought Anvilus Autocannon Battery as arms ? Who would fit better ?
3rd shoul I add armour plates on the legs ?

I'd go with some mechanicus-heavy color scheme: steel, brass and dark grey+offwhite for some standards and the like. As for the arms i really don't know. Although a dreadnought-sized chainfist seems fitting...

 

I'm working on white black and red palette... using imperial knigth decals...

 

I reckon a knee-pad or wrap around plate over the middle leg joint

 

Indeed I'm appling the deadknight one, I think this walker will be devoted to the big =][=

At the end I selected a GK colour pattern and the decals from the IK kit.

That's the actual state of works.

I'm still wondering about the best solution for the hands. I need the dimansions and a picture of the back of a Deredeo Dreadnought with  Anvilus Autocannon Battery :S
