Night Lords PLOG - the next instalment .....

Recommended Posts

Awesome Night Lords, really dark and forboding. I like your take on the Third aswell. I cant think of any Emperors Children specific tactical marking, I would probably just use squad numbers or a generic, less Codex looking arrow. Either way, keep it up!

Well here is the finished squad - well, a 5 man lazy painters version of a squad!

They aren't quite finished, I am still pondering tactical markings/company badges for the shoulder pads/knee pads and the plasma gunner will need some OSL on the gun and a little bit of more detailing on some of the backpacks.

I thought the flowers were a nice touch, somewhat reminiscent of the artwork of the Emperor's Children marine admiring flowers after butchering the enemy!

Here are the marines in a group

I also thought it fun to compare the Sgts of my two Heresy era squads, I do like these guys... even the Mrs recognised the difference in character of the legions!!

So much so, I thought they both deserved bare head options.... alas I need to work on the photography!!

Any comments appreciated - particularly any thoughts on squad markings!!

Well it has been a while -- but I'm almost done with the predator! Here is a sneak peak - I took these guys down to the local GW store and got them posted on their Facebook, which was nice!

Still a little more to go with weathering - got mud effects to add and maybe a few more rust spots. I'm debating adding a pintle mounted weapon to the turret, in addition to a few more trophies....

I'm also going to restrict this to a Night Lords post, and start a separate one for the Emperor's Children. I'll need to start 'fluffing' these guys ...

Got some Atramentar to do before the Calth box arrives....

I have been working on these guys for a week or so - including the conversion. I loved Brother Heinrich's Atramentar and thought I HAD to have some Night Lords like these! Mine probably aren't up to his standard, but I am liking them thus far -- more work to do on the arms/shoulder pads.

My only issue is I'm not sure the heads are sitting right - I have magnetised them so I could swop them around, but the fit is a little snug in the 'hood' area of the torso, much more filing off and the top will be gone. It's the lack of gap between the head and chest.

Comments and suggestions welcome.
