PensacolaWarhammer
https://youtu.be/jKT_rpbIOSM Did a tutorial on how I painted my Dark Angels Centurions. The method I go over is how I do most of my Dark Angels, and I plan to post more of them later. I'm interested to know what you think, and if you know how to embed a video, please let me know. Father Mehman
Dark Angels Centurion? Are you having a go at us ? I'll assume this is to show off how you paint your green and the details of your army because we can't take those in the game. PensacolaWarhammer
Mehman Yes, it's to show off my green, and also I want to do up some Centurions since they came out. However, I do plan to field these. I can field them either as an allied detachment or just green Space Marines with sword and wing icons. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312407-how-to-paint-dark-angels-centurions/#findComment-4147161 Share on other sites
Father Mehman
Seems a bit disingenuous painting a unit in the colours of an army that can't take it, allying said unit to the same coloured main force, and then using the unit as if it were a true part of the main army. But hey, it's your hobby. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312407-how-to-paint-dark-angels-centurions/#findComment-4147718 Share on other sites
Brother Olaf
Exactly. I'm taking a Stormraven for my Wolves even though its not in the codex. I want it so i'm having it. my hobby! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312407-how-to-paint-dark-angels-centurions/#findComment-4148269 Share on other sites

But hey, it's your hobby. Maybe, but in my mind this save a lot of time, money and energy. I don't have to spend money on paints or models making basically a second army. I don't have waste time experimenting and learning a new color scheme. Finally, this gives me a wider option of play. I can play Dark Angels, I can play Dark Angels with allies representing more or hidden elements of the chapter, or I can play green Space Marines, with black bikes, and tan terminators. I've come to think that 40k is more of a sand box game now. You as the player make it what you want it to be. Exactly. I'm taking a Stormraven for my Wolves even though its not in the codex. I want it so i'm having it. my hobby! Agreed. Although you know that you can still get the Storm Wing Data Slate which is 2 Storm Talons and a Storm Raven that are not chapter specfic. Also, you could just play the Storm Raven as on of the Space Wolves flyers. Father Mehman
At least you've thought out some reasons, my brother. That's half the battle. The other half is getting someone to play with you ! Well met, brother, well met. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312407-how-to-paint-dark-angels-centurions/#findComment-4148430 Share on other sites
Brother Olaf
Hmm.. i didnt know that about the Dataslate.. thats got me thinking! My in-world reason for having the Stormraven is my Wolf Lord stole the ride off of a nosy Inquisitor Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/312407-how-to-paint-dark-angels-centurions/#findComment-4148531 Share on other sites
