Did a tutorial on how I painted my Dark Angels Centurions. The method I go over is how I do most of my Dark Angels, and I plan to post more of them later. I'm interested to know what you think, and if you know how to embed a video, please let me know.

Yes, it's to show off my green, and also I want to do up some Centurions since they came out. However, I do plan to field these. I can field them either as an allied detachment or just green Space Marines with sword and wing icons. :)

Seems a bit disingenuous painting a unit in the colours of an army that can't take it, allying said unit to the same coloured main force, and then using the unit as if it were a true part of the main army. But hey, it's your hobby.

Maybe, but in my mind this save a lot of time, money and energy. I don't have to spend money on paints or models making basically a second army. I don't have waste time experimenting and learning a new color scheme. Finally, this gives me a wider option of play. I can play Dark Angels, I can play Dark Angels with allies representing more or hidden elements of the chapter, or I can play green Space Marines, with black bikes, and tan terminators. I've come to think that 40k is more of a sand box game now. You as the player make it what you want it to be.

Exactly. I'm taking a Stormraven for my Wolves even though its not in the codex. I want it so i'm having it. my hobby! smile.png

Agreed. Although you know that you can still get the Storm Wing Data Slate which is 2 Storm Talons and a Storm Raven that are not chapter specfic. Also, you could just play the Storm Raven as on of the Space Wolves flyers.
