"Look to the skies, my children. The Savior of Humanity has arrived!"

-Overheard by an officer of the Deathwing Jackals

Herein Begins a Tale of Glorious War in the Name of Humanity.

Felip Kailash, sergeant of the Deathwing Jackals, peered over the chest-high wall he was crouched behind, enticing a volley of fire to stream his way. The solid shot rounds impacted against the ferrocrete, and sprayed shards of rock in all directions. Uttering a curse behind his chem-mask, he ducked back down, and pulled a grenade from his web harness. If he couldn't shoot the buggers, he'd damn well flush them out.

Ordering the few men of his maniple to cover him, he stood up and lobbed the grenade high overhead. Bullets were flying in all directions, some from the Jackals covering their sergeant, others from the degenerate enemy forces.

With a -crump- the grenade exploded, peppering the mutants with shrapnel, but the loss of some only enraged the others. A roar of vengeance was taken up by the fiends, and dozens of mutants began swarming towards the beleaguered Jackals.

"Pick your targets, conserve your ammo! Fire only when you know you have a killshot! Do not let them close to close combat range," Kailash ordered his men.

And then like a prayer answered by some forgotten, mythical god, three drop pods landed amidst the mutant horde. Two were storm cloud grey, the raptor and lightning bolt emblem pf the Emperor of Mankind bright gold upon the grey. The third was different. It was shining gold whereas the others were grey.

Out of the two Legiones Astartes pods came the Angels of Death themselves, boltguns blazing and dealing death to those mutants who were not slain in the impact of the pods.

Out of the third came something completely different. Clad in armour the same golden hue as their drop pod, the warriors of the Emperor's Praetorian Guard, the Custodians themselves, drove their guardian spears into mutant flesh.

The might of the Imperium had come to Becheon.

Undesignated Astartes, Legion Unidentified. He and his brothers saved Sergeant Felip Kailash and his Jackals from certain death.

Here we have a Work In Progress of the Legion force that was deployed to the world of Becheon to bring compliance to the mutant overlords. Note the Base Pattern Legiones Astartes power armour, in storm cloud grey. Further details will be picked out as time goes on.
