It has been quiet.... Too quiet.

Well not anymore, or atleast for the next 2 weeks.

As I failed for November by not completing the Achilles (not sure if that disqualifies me, but carrying on regardless) I plan to work on the Achilles to completion.

Not only that, but I asked and you all answered in one way or another, and this month I pledge to get a Spartan whacked out....

Btw Kurama, were in all that is holy do you get all this modelling energy?!? A Warlord? I am scared to see what you will come up with for ETL this year..

Oh, as I cqannot decide, I am voting for Zejara & Helterskelter, they may be Traitors, but boy do they look good!!

Thanks buddy. Honestly I'm tapped out currently, as I'm moving to the middle of nowhere I'm currently half packed but I do have a custom Khârn wip currently for this month.

ETL is looking like a breeze but I might ease into it this year

Kurama don't forget you have allllll this time to prebuild it, there's no rush. So many beers, so many god-machines. I'm not gonna break my first titan will be a warlord.

Termies are coming along nicely since my bits order came through. Once the build is finished will post in progress

Well I asked and you answered, so This is going to be the Spartan project running concurrently with the Achilles

Gold knotwork commences on the Achilles, while the tracks are getting don on the Spartan. The left wolf-head looks "off" to me. Not sure what it is.

Tracks begun on the Spartan, I have a different knot-work idea for this behemoth smile.png

Good stuff helterskelter great to see more progress seems everyone's dropped off the face of the earth except you Zujara and Dantay

i never recovered from my. move back in October, I only just got my paints out for The Boxing Day Bash. I've a bunch assembled, but my big ticket items, the Caestus and Spartan, are proving to both be pigs to prepare and even bigger pigs to assemble.....

I'll be back in 2016, I've had no hobby space or time while prepping for the madness that's crimbo with 3 kids.

Plan is to hit 2016 running, between now and new year I'll be claiming back the hobby space.

Two things. Dagnabit mold lines! Second won't be basing these proper until I get me some basing materials, so will undergo further weathering later this month :)

Also apologies for the lateness, Christmas plus little ones birthday in quick succession, added mental issues and other odds and sods, will post some fluff later.

I'm still in I promise! Outside of the demands of real life around the holidays, most of my hobby time was spent thinking about the battles I either had upcoming, or that had just past. Now for the month of January (and beyond) I'm continuing on the walker streak. Starting small, a squad of Centurions (I know they're not walkers and all but...) a pair of Contemptors and two larger walkers (what? You never knows what foul xenos spies might be listening in and preparing!) In addition to that, my air corps have had a few new additions that we should also see in the next few weeks (even if I did make a massive mistake while painting one of them recently...)

I apologize now for any excess use of bandwidth, I'm really proud of these (incomplete) tables and how the battles I've been hosting look on them. So on with the mini Batreps!

Originally we planned for a straight up Apoc game of Imperials Vs Xenos (all Necrons I believe) at 3-5K points per player, unfortunately due to stuff, our Xenos players couldn't make it for a variety of reasons. That left the November Warriors, Space Wolves and Inquisitor supported GK hanging about with a whole lotta time on their hands and nothing to do. That is until the Vox sputtered awake and we received a transmission, we were all invited to go to a party, a Sororitas party!

http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag67/NovemberIX/DSC04873_zpspol5ls5l.jpg

These Ladies here (painted back in August/September as a way to get out of my hobby break) mounted on a 60mm base acted as the central objective in a white dwarf scenario (1v1v1v1 corners deployment, single objective in the middle of the table) and helped give us a story to play out. The wolves wanted to get there first to lay claim to all the booze, the GK were hurrying to monopolize the time of the Sororitas and the Warriors were mostly hoping there'd be something dairy free to snack on.

So without boring you with details (Because G.M. Iapetus has the pics on his camera, and at some point I will do a real Batrep) the Deredeo is worth every dollar and every point, it just chewed up the GK's dreadknights and about everything else put in front of it. The game ended with a tie between the Wolves and the GK, the November Warriors were late to the party, but they we're riding around in a school bus so it was to be expected.

The other game I played (yesterday at that!) was another Imperial friendly fire exercise, BA and NW vs Honda's BT. Bolt shells swapped for paintballs, and a scenario out of the Battle missions book had the BA and the Warriors deploying across the table, 12 inches away from all table sides and 6 inches away from any other allied unit.

Unfortunately we didn't get to complete the game because our BA player had to head home (t'was a dark and stormy night) but at the end Honda lead us 4 to 3 in kill points (I killed his Emp Champion and he killed an Achilles, two dreads and a BA scout squad)

At the end of the game this is what the table looked like

To steal a lyrics, "Through the glass 20 stories high, I have watched this city burn" which is quite apt, as this Christmas I was gifted a set of weapon destroyed markers by my girlfriends dad, and honestly they add to much to the battlescape, it's kinda amazing :)

So with that, I sign of for now, said girlfriend is making breakfast and I've already annoyed her enough by taking over the whole of the living room ;)

(PS. HelterSkelter, awesome work on those Termies, they look great!)

Got too busy with the holidays to get much painting done, so I guess consider that my month off and this month revowing those daemons! Hope to see some more great work from everyone soon.

Right I need to go back through the thread and work out who's chosen chapters to have themselves represented in my DW. I'll be resolving the foc issue by having red hunters fill out the troops requirements. They're all tied into the =][= in one way or another. ;)

It seems there's never enough time in a month, but by that token, when I do get working, I tend to knock out big chunks at once. So here is the sister to Temporia Junah, Epochia Fellisa, (though I may replace the fellisa with Junah for thematic reasons) in the middle of the build progress. Built as a Knight Crusader it should bring some much needed dakka to the table msn-wink.gif

I'm still working out a few ideas regarding it's color scheme, but I do know it'll continue the trend of taking inspiration from my main army.

So next update! The majority of construction is done but I do realize I've made a couple of mistakes. The Shoulder pads had a really lovely shade of blue that I'd mixed up and I had an idea for the livery I wanted, but once I saw the way the blue looked on silver I wanted to give it a shot. Unfortunately I hadn't cleaned my airbrush as well as I had thought and ended up with some pretty bad spattering. It's on but it's not as smooth as I wanted. Thankfully most of the rest has gone on pretty well. I've gone and started adding in the shading on the armor pieces, and a few of those armor pieces have started getting their metallic details picked out as well. Another update to come tomorrow, I've been working on this thing pretty much all day and I'm pretty knackered so with that I leave y'all with this picture.

PS, Really trying to figure out which Knight gets the melta and the missile launcher, if anyone has any suggestions

I kinda get the feeling that we've all sorta trailed off with other projects and threads and the like. All the same if that's the case, we're gonna end this thread on a completion!

This weekend was the 24 hours of Daytona, and one thing I've felt is that I get more done when watching racing, especially endurance racing than at any other time (except the night before a big game, because that's when magic happens ;p) So while listening to the dulcet tones of engines at full song, I cranked away on the Knight Epochia Fadi

I hope I ended up giving the new Knight enough character to start with, as she is involved in more games she'll slowly acquire purity seals, text and other honors. So with that my fellow Tale of 18'ers I bid you good night, it's been a loooooong weekend :D

I'm going to pull the plug on this as I just can't get going painting models at the moment. Still trying to finish this blasted inquisitor who just needs pads and backpack doing. :(

Think I'll probably try next year again if at all possible but will have all models prepped/converted before hand.
