The dangers with discounted boxes!
Still waiting for my ForgeWorld order here. I need my Atrapos...
I really need to get a regular knight now... preferably from a store so that I can get into it right away.

Hardly helped I re-read Mechanicum yesterday...

//Nevindar

Well I've gone and done my vow! Suprising, I know, but here are 3 more Salamanders for your perusal...

Seven more marines and a predator will finally finish the painting on my 1000 point list... Onwards.

I, Kor'Vesh, feeling the flush of a small victory, pledge to paint 4 tactical marines for the eighteenth legions, Salamanders, in the month of November.

@Kor'vesh: Still love that sallygreen you got going. So... how many marines do you still need to paint?

@Dantioch: So, going from Traitoris Extremis to... Ultramarines? Nevertheless, looks good. I just wish the Aquila would have been shattered :o

Nevindar - I've still got lots to be painting, but been working on my next four sallies all evening, and all the base colours and washes are done, so details next. That leaves me 8 totally unpainted tac marines, a rapier, a predator and landraider to paint. Plus a 3 pyros and a command squad to build! I've got some work to do...

FireGolem - Thanks man. Your guys are looking very good - how are your sons of Horus coming along?

Dantioch - Nice SoH man. A great green and nice wear and tear on the armour. What's next?

Raktra - How is you whole army looking now dude? You must have a lot of Iron Hands painted by now!

Better late than never, X Legion's procrastinating, bar-tending Iron Father shall join the fun!

I pledge to (finish) building and painting one Proteus Armoured Land Raider. Initial priming completed.

Barabbas, the poses on those two guys are absolutely incredible.

Zed, that blue is stunning.

Kor'Vesh, as always I am left envious of your ability to paint green and flames. Very nice and striking.

FireGolem - Thanks man. Your guys are looking very good - how are your sons of Horus coming along?

Basically whatever you've seen of them in the past is where I'm at with them... I have a new plan now though, because of how impossible I found it to settle on a legion. Gonna use the Shattered Legion rules when we get them to basically make some of all the legions, and still be able to use my models on the table. And then I can expand some of them into full forces at a later point if I can stick to any. Need to see the Shattered Legion rules before I start doing too much but not too long for that.

Shattered Legions sounds like a great choice for you Fire Golem. I like the idea, and I've got faith that the forge world team will provide a great ruleset for you. It might give you a reason to paint a nice green Salamander too!

Thanks Huw - looking forward to seeing your Land Raider painted, it'll be nice inspiration for mine!

Mortis! Very pleased to haveyou back - looking forward to your World Eaters.

@nevindar- Thanks man, call it a moment of indecision while sitting with a half assembled UM army haha

@Kor'Vesh- Cheers Kor, really hoping that FW release the Leviathan dread, getting the itch to paint another dread....

@chaplain mortis- Good to see you back man, looking forward to seeing more of your murdering psychos biggrin.png

Thanks for all the kind words, gents. Further update: Oiling completed (Ignore the MiG bottle - only used that to wash around the wheel bolts)!

Definitely need an awful lot of practice using oil paints. Gives a lovely subtle effect though with streaks and buildup of grime. Washing is easy, removing the excess to give the right effect will take me a lot of practice. All in all, I'm happy with the results, but they could be improved. At this stage it's best that I stop otherwise I'll end up trashing them completely! Left to do: Matt varnish, weathering powders, fix crewmen, final light satin varnish to finish...

I finally finished my pledge from last month ( yes the shame is a heavy burden ) and i thought i would post them for no reason other then that a few people said they wanted to see them
