Ezeriel
Pictured here is Centurion Vaturo of the 3rd Company of the Dusk Raiders. Vaturo was only ten when Albia surrendered and joined the Emperor's cause. Him and his brothers all became part of the first influx of youths to be selected for training and induction to the XIV legion. The legion would go on to participate in the final fights of the unification of Terra and the Sol System. At the beginning of the Great Crusade, Vaturo and his brothers were assigned to the 3rd Company as part of the 109th fleet. For over fifty years their fleet reclaimed many lost human colonies and searched for their primarch with no success. In time Vaturo rose to become the company champion. With volkite and power fist he bested whatever champions the enemy sent at him. He would eventually meet his match against a champion of the Eldar. Though he eventually killed the Eldar, his wounds were too severe to recover from. Not wanting to die before the legion found their primarch, Vaturo requested to be interred into a contemptor dreadnaught. With his request answered, he would go on to fight for the Emperor and legion for over thirty more years. Vaturo interred in a dreadnaught: Even as a dreadnaught, the company still regarded Vaturo as their champion. While some shudder at the thought of being confined in a dreadnaught sarcophagus, Vaturo came to embrace it. It allowed him to take on ever larger and dangerous opponents. With his favorite weapons of volkite and fist, few were a match for him. Eventually word reached the fleet that their primarch had been found. Vaturo was thrilled. He would finally be able to meet his gene sire and would hopefully fight beside him. With visions of what the primarch would be like, the Vaturo and the fleet entered the warp to begin the journey to Barbarus. The 109th fleet never arrived and were eventually declared lost to the warp.
