Ahazra Redth
Legions in Horus Heresy do not have a side, correct i.e. Chaos or Emperor? I am curious because I am looking at Warsmith Dantioch's 14th Grand Company, which remained loyal to the emperor despite the Iron Warriors turning traitor. Hydriatus
Well, the majority of each legion in the Horus Heresy sided with the Warmaster or the Emperor. The problem is that due to the scattered nature of the Legions, various companies/commanders swore different allegiances. The Iron Warriors were mainly traitor, but Warsmith Dantioch stayed loyal, as did Warsmith Khyr Valen (HH3). The White Scars actually had a schism but ultimately sided with the Emperor - there were still renegades (such as Hakim). Nathaniel Garro was a member of the Death Guard, who were traitors, but he chose to remain loyal to the Emperor. The thing is, the majority of the "loyal" elements of the traitor legions were wiped out on Istvaan III. SkimaskMohawk
In game terms you pick your faction (loyalist/traitor) and then your legion. Any legion can be used as either loyalist or traitor, you just might lose out on some special characters if you go the opposite of the canonĀ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/315899-a-question-about-iron-warriors/#findComment-4221694 Share on other sites
