Very exciting, something for the Guard after so long! biggrin.png Yes, likely just a follow on from the AdMech stuff but still cool and the design similarities are nice to see. It looks like he's part of a choice with the "Veteran Tank Commander"? Perhaps this will be a box set with the new Enginseer, a Russ and the Apoc command sprue (see the array on the turret, as I used on my Pask)? What special rules could this Veteran TC get? Presumably more than just some better repair rule or some such from the Techpriest.

As I read it, one of the models is the tank, so it seem about right for a character and a vehicle.

Yeah, I think it's implicit that you get a Commander, a Techpriest AND a Leman Russ.

Yeah he's cool but doesn't replace the old ones which are still nice models. It is a good point, the current ones will likely become unavailable at some point so grab them now if you want them. My guess would be probably when it gets released independent from the box set? Perhaps even sooner to try and promote the box.

At least this may give me an excuse to paint up my other Russes and Techpriests (2 metal and 1 FW) languishing in the painting queue :)

Don't feel bad, buster. I only have two! The bare minimum for a tank command squadron. I like to use indirect fire in my heavy support slots.
I'm looking forward to seeing this fleshed out in future leaks/updates. I'm still hoping the bullgryn/stormlord bundle will make it into the new formations chart. I have none of either, so if they incentivized me to buy it, I probably would.

Only six? Man up dude. You need at least nine before you begin to approach the general neighborhood of perhaps enough.

 

What I'm looking forward to might be a formation that'll tempt me to paint my two techpriests.

 

This...nine is minimally acceptable, provided that at least one of them is superheavy.

 

But you always need more!
