Points and the end of turn 1

Loyalists : 3 (One objective, First Blood)

Traitors : 0

Now this is where the game gets interesting msn-wink.gif

Loyalist turn 2

gallery_71633_9312_7809.jpg

Quote of the turn :

" Are you not going to use the ork gargant as cover for your tanks?"

"No, cover is #2 on the weakness chart, miles behind flesh!"

Movement Phase :

Ferrus Manus and Bodyguard inside a spartan outflank with all a landraider proteus spearhead, with 2 rhinos with heavy support squad and a tactical squad in tow, along with my cerberus with Orth. The Gorgon intends to plow through the opposing spearhead. World Eater Preator drop and scatter dead in front of the fortress, the same fate awaits a unit of rampagers.

The Raven Guard Thunderhawk makes an appearance leading in with Dreadnoughts! The loyalists bring on and unprecedented amount of fire raptors and storm eagles to dominate air space, With 5 gunships escorting the Thunderhawk. Many That's what she said references were given that turn. Khârn and red butchers enter in our backfield, expecting shenanigans from the traitor forces, along with Autek Mor and bodyguards. More drops pods midfield.

Dorn's finest teleport in 30 terminators upfield, 10 of which go to the ZM board to prevent heretic advance, as the night lords are heavily committed to the skulking down bellow. The Imperial fists continue to advance on the right side of the field, defiant against the stronghold of the Mechanicum/Auxila.

Shooting Phase :

The Fire Raptors do work on the leading rhinos of Dan's spearhead exposing the fleshy contents. Ferrus' outflanking force gets a few hull points on the various proteus in front of them and kill a spartan, but the avdance turns into a traffic jam. The warhound tries to put a dent in the Auxlia parking lot at the back, with his plasma, but achieves little due to massed cover. The Turbo Laser takes out a vindicator and a whirlwind after a scatter.

Charle's superheavies, a thunderhawk and storm lord with plasma both scatter their shots off the board. This will be known as "Warning salvo incident".

Slipstreams' forces down bellow play hide and seek with the Night Lords and achieve little for now.

Highlight of the turn: Facing a death Sentence, the world Eater Praetor makes a Leonidas stand and Chucks his Trident hard and true and the Fortress tower. He hits, penetrates it, and makes it explode in a single blow, activating the hullpoint leaching aura on the spear affecting the rest of the sections msn-wink.gif

traitor turn 2

gallery_71633_9312_35910.jpg

Movement Phase: The Mechanicum Knight households go to war along their Night Lord allies! The traffic Jam intensifies on the traitor right flank, so Dan sends his infantry down the center to wedge around. Knights belonging to Zihui cannot squeeze in due to lack of space (that costly fortress msn-wink.gif ) I believe there were 12 knights in total.

Dan was walking around our side of the board with 5 miniatures in his hand. I told him to stay away from Khârn and the Butchers, to which he casually said he could easily take them. I challenged him to match his claim, so it turned out the 5 miniatures where the models for units of Raptors, a jump command squad and jump infantry totalling 60 models.... Damn the deception! the Kharybdis comes on the field in our backyard, ready to spray some Imperial fist dreadnoughts.

The Death guard cometh, bringing air support to contest the skies, with Mortarion's landraider and Grave Guard facing Ferrus. Will the unstoppable force meet the immovable object?

Shooting Phase:

Hungry for blood, the Traitors unleash a devastation salvo of air missiles from their fighters upon the thunderhawk, leaving it cripple at 1 hull point after a bad set of jink saves. My Armoured Spearhead shruggs off most of the incoming fire, and my rhinos all bite the dust except for 2 of them. Sergeant bob with the tactical squad that dropped on the tower objective (replacing the lastcannons that failed a moral and fled) is sole survivor and flees as well only to come back later.

the left traitor flank does not advance, waiting for dorn to make his move. 3 Night Lord rhinos loader with troops and a command squad move to intercept him. the Heavy artillery of tha Auxilia wipe two squads of terminators, forcing the Loyalists to abandon center board for now.

As long as aussie beer isnt poney pee like the us stuff.

Ill post my night lord list tommorow.

Almost 20000 points. Including 2 force charts of night lords and a force chart of knights. Two allied detachments of night lords one of mechanicum. And a last minute solar auxillia detachment that never even made it to the table! Damn fortress! I hate that thing. Plus a warhound a reaver and curze.

Oh the rogue trader goodness of an entire company of old beakie marines.

Next time I think ill use the thunderhawk instead of the warhound.

Do I get to.put kill markings on it for the destruction of a hardwood floor?

Ps the tshirt is the new warhammer world official nl tshirt that came out in october this year. I have 2. One is still i. The package. Jealous now?

Ps for you yank players we could always do a game at my Legion in Lacolle. Its spiting distance from the border at the vermont. Canada and NY. Intersection. Plus it has a bar!!!

Good stuff brother and aussie beer isn't floral like European beer and not weak like American Canadian beer.

It's bold it's bitter it's flavor abundant and it's amazing.

Try a coopers pale ale or a Melbourne draught or my personal favourite xxxx gold bitter.

Back on topic though how much devastation from the super heavies is there?

Yup.

What a royal cluster of "TACTICS!?!? HAH! WHERE WE'RE GOING WE DONT NEED NO STINKIN' TACTICS!"

Also, Timmy literally only rolled 6's when shooting other titans.

It was Brutal.

And, Stomp 6's are very much BS because thats how both Ferrus and Dorn went down.

Yeah... we had a chat after the game on some amendments

Rules modifications for next time around:

Knight Stomps Roll of a 6 on Very Bulky models results in a and automatic wound with AP 2, Vehicules suffer a S10 AP 1 hit on rear armour.

Jump Infantry can make a disorganized charge on the turn they arrive front deepstrike, provided they do not run or shoot.

Challenges last for the entire round and wounds do not spill over. Excess wounds count as double for combat resolution
