Yet everytime i see such clean World Eaters I think: early 90s sneakers! Is this just me? Someone help please!

So, its been a while since the last update. I played around with lahmian medium to get this cool fade effect on my tribune's sword, liking it much better than the plain metal i had done before...

and for a little teaser....got this guy brewing...

Finally making some progress on the lancer!

Threw some paint at the knight...thank the emperor for leadbelcher spray, lol.

Decided to go with a sort of freeblade lancer rocking a 12th legion color scheme. His zeal for knightly fisticuffs made him pledge himself directly to angron and the world eaters, etc etc. Going to with the dark metal underbody, white and blue armor plates that more or less mimic the way i did my marines (so blue shoulders and knees, white shins, codpiece, and torso/carapace). I'll probably do the shoulder shield in a split white and blue and maybe the cod piece also. I'm going to throw my legion etched brass all over him rather than mechanicum iconography as well. Anywho, i think its going to turn out good.

The white still needs washed and highlighted.  As it is now its just ulthuan grey over corax spray, i think after i throw some wash on there it will set back into the plates and bit and be looking goooood.

Alright, some more updates!

The base is nearly finished. I'm going to put an ultramarine decal on the door and then it'll be more or less done.

I've started work on the cockpit, coming along nicely!

And i picked out some brass elements on the legs.

Not pictured, i washed and drybrushed the white on the carapace lid and leg armor plates, plus did the gold trim and highlights on the leg armor. The lower half is getting close to done.

Finished the cockpit interior...almost ready to put the torso together, woo!

Paint job is sharp as ever and I am happy to see more of the knight coming together.

Thanks!  I am thinking i'm one or two paint sessions away from being able to assemble the torso and put it on the legs, so things are coming together pretty quickly now.

Thanks!  I got that etched brass set for christmas and waffled between that one and the maw with lightning bolts...ended up going with that one because the maw is just a little bigger and more readable.  I'm planning on busting out WE legion decals all over this dude, so we'll see how it goes.

 

I also have a rando set of brass (not gw/fw) that has a long sword icon on it...i think i might try bisecting one of the WE maw decals or brass bits with it for the weapon banner.
