Mechanicum Taghmata Omnissiah

Working on something new, a whole ton of Mechanicum models. The scheme's going to be a dirty white (primary) and bronze (secondary) on a grey/urban base.

 

First up is a unit of Myrmidon Secutors I just finished today

Those myrmidon look awesome! The blue really pops against the white cloaks. Or is the cloak blue and black ;)

Glad to hear it, I originally had the plasma as purple but after some feedback from a friend changed it. And that question will never be answered :P

Thanks! Its super easy to do, just a layer of bleached bone, then white to get some gradient and then I coated the entire thing in vellejo candy blue.

I forgot to mention that I'll be getting better pics soon of the myrmidons, shot by my good buddy Crabelzworth as usual

That dirty bone white color is super unique for Mechanicum. It looks amazing with the icy blue.

Thanks Flint, the goal was to have a very striking scheme so I'm happy its so well received :)

 

In other news I finished the unit of Myrmidon Destructors who have the guns converted to be counts-as photon thrusters; I hadn't touched any models since the Secutors were finished, but I managed to crank these guys out in under 3 hours. Triaros up next, though I may try and do both at once to save time, hopefully it won't be too much of an ordeal :P

My friend did the conversion and that's what he mentioned when he passed them over, in reality I think they can work as anything short of the conversion beamer

No I believe they're the rad weapons with the fins trimmed off

All out of brown wash after 3 hours of painting, but the Triaros are chugging along nicely; just bronze, metal highlights, weathering and blue glow left

The white is Codex, Fortress, Bleaches Bone, Skull White, Agrax (wipe it off the flat areas)

 

Couldn't stop myself from painting one as much as I could without the missing wash. The blue was starting to frustrate me on almost every place I painted it as most of the surfaces were too close together to  really show the contrast  and get the super bright look like usual, still not completely satisfied but I already redid it once. Weathering, wash on bronze and more blue to come.

Next thing coming up is the Archmagos on Abeyant/Dreyvac who currently just need washes and details to complete him

Whatever kind of weathering you're doing is excellent for making that Abeyant look like the ancient relic that it is.
