Marqol
Well in theory you can have metal on the pads rather than black. Your Iron Warriors can be a particular company that marked like that due to..Reasons. What are you using for your bases by the way? I want to say slate but the rocks/paving slabs/rubble look very smooth. And is that a discarded poster I see on the base of one? Pearson73
I'd keep the pads silver, they're looking good as they are. Magos Kasen
Well in theory you can have metal on the pads rather than black. I want to say slate but the rocks/paving slabs/rubble look very smooth. And is that a discarded poster I see on the base of one? The bases use plaster to make the rubble. It's easy to work with and pretty durable in my experience. And yes, a few of the bases have propaganda posters on them. Magos Kasen
Took a fancier photo of Sergeant Yhezev, messing around with filters and stuff.  http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Models/IMG_20160301_1724412_zpsdyetyhby.jpg  Also tried out my first transfer... not a perfect success, but hey, better than my freehand. Haven't used a transfer in years, gonna have to get the knack of them.  http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Models/IMG_20160301_231902_zpsgtqvqwux.jpg  Also the next WIP marine from the veteran squad. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Models/IMG_20160301_231934_zps5uinmieu.jpg Marqol, Monstra Sumus, m0nolith and 4 others 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319578-the-bitterness-of-iron-praetor-conversion-pg4/page/2/#findComment-4323162 Share on other sites
Brother Pheidias
The old Pulling-a-knife-in-a-gunfight-trick? That's unsportsmanlike, noone will stand a chance against him now!Transfer turned out great, practice makes perfect, and compared to my recent lack of success in that department, yours looks great! Magos Kasen
So I've been a bit quiet this week, between work and resuming uni studies this week. Mostly just assembling a few more models before I batch paint them. I realised I have the perfect IW siege shields, so suddenly the possibility of a breacher squad arises... Â WIP test model, in black and white to hide my terrible greenstuff work. Some bits are just blutacked together for this photo. http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Models/IMG_20160305_0044152_zps5wyio4d9.jpg Let me know what you think. Feedback is appreciated on whether the conversion looks any good. lokkorex, Argent aquila, BrotherCaptainArkhan and 3 others 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319578-the-bitterness-of-iron-praetor-conversion-pg4/page/2/#findComment-4326094 Share on other sites
Monstra Sumus
WHAT IS THAT SHIELD?  Just sorted my own breachers and I'm using anvil industries riot shields, but for love nor money could I find bullgryn shields (is that what they are?) on their own. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319578-the-bitterness-of-iron-praetor-conversion-pg4/page/2/#findComment-4326144 Share on other sites

Magos Kasen
Thanks guys, the shield is from a Mantic Enforcer Peacekeeper. Soric
That Breacher looks pretty cool. The texture on the face plate especially looks suitably worn and scarred, ideal for an Iron Warrior unit. Magos Kasen
Well brothers, it has been a while. But I'll not bore you with takes of hobby ADD and the inevitable return to 30k. I'll pick up where I left off, conveniently. Last night I decided to undercoat and paint a breacher, so here he is, almost done. Just a few markings and a base to go.  http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Mobile%20Uploads/20160918_142258_HDR2_zps7lpsi1ls.jpg  http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/tt243/Magos_Kasen/Mobile%20Uploads/20160918_142241_HDR2_zpsseju1n9e.jpg Soldier of Dorn, Dosjetka, Snook and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319578-the-bitterness-of-iron-praetor-conversion-pg4/page/2/#findComment-4506130 Share on other sites
panzerallan
Nice. Dorn Lysander
These guys look awesome, I really like the glow effect you've achieved on your models, especially on the eyes, has a sinister quality about it. Flintfish
Awesome work on the metal armor and the OSL on that sergeant with red power sword and plasma pistol is really ace.
