I'm surprised how well those corvus/scout conversions work. Top job. :tu:

Heheh. I was actually quite surprised at how they turned out as well. I had to rip off most of the hoods and redo them after realizing I'd gotten a thumbprint in each one, but the second go didn't take nearly the time.

Arawn the Hunter, a freeblade bound to Archmagos Draykavac. His house coat of arms (Villexin) appears with lightning bolts, depicting that House Villexin is fallen. Draykavac allows Arawn to keep his livery as long as he continues to achieve victory, though Arawn faces more and more difficult battles. When Arawn finally falls, he will be interred within the knight and it will be stripped of his house livery. He desperately seeks an escape from his bond.

His trophies are from monstrous creatures that attacked his world 15 years before the Betrayal at Isstvan. They had not been seen before or since.

I'm trying out a new background. It seems to work well. Also, I'm working on a dreadnought to be crushed underfoot, but it's likely going to be in progress for quite a while.

Korl Evinger, Imperial Fist Librarian, a templar brother who mysteriously gained psyker ability just a year before the Council of Nikaea. He has sworn to never use his powers in combat, but something about him sets his brethren ill at ease. Though cast out of the Templar Brotherhood after Nikaea, he is still allowed the honour of bearing the templar cross, though his armour has been returned to the yellow of the rest of the chapter.

To help remove doubts about his nature, he wears a self-imposed psi-monitoring hood created for him by Forgemaster Wennt, though Wennt's recent disappearance has the tech brotherhood temporarily unable to examine the device. Supposedly, the device will blare warning across the battlefield should Evinger go rogue.

This is what love feels like

Thanks to everyone for the comments -- I'm saving them all up in a canister so that later on I can distill them and mainline them into an artery. Hopefully, they will provide the motivation to get to work on the piles of unpainted stuff I have waiting.

More fists -- this time breachers. These are the first Imperial Fists I painted, so I may go back and do a few things to them. One thing I need to do is to highlight the shoulder pad with the rook symbol so that it softens the black a bit -- it's pretty harsh. Anyway ... 12 down, 28 to go ...

Also, here's a test model of an AL Scimitar. I painted the symbols before FW released the transfer sheet, so now I have to make the choice -- paint the other symbols by hand or redo this one with transfers? I'll likely redo this one with transfers, but it can sit on a shelf for another few months before I decide. I'll also likely paint the power dagger a fiery orange for more contrast.

THese are gorgeous.

Maybe a dead White Scar on the Alpha Legion base, from the clandestine mission on the lava world mentioned in Scars and another AL short story?

That's fighting talk!

Amazing painting, and fast!

I figured he could have been one of the operatives on Phemus, secretly striking at the White Scars and hiding the corpses in the lava fields which flowed on the world.

I am doing dead Alpha's on my bases when I get the bits... Mainly because Wolves vs T-Sons is a bit cliche'd nowadays.

Although I could do some World Eater bits...

Amazing painting, and fast!

Thanks for the compliment, but I'm certainly not fast. These models have all been siting on my shelves for months to years. I'm even slow at putting up photos or I would have had them all up at once.
