Olis
Hail brothers an sisters, I have another Showcase for you today, this time it's from The Carthaxian Inquisitor. He's been working on this bad boy for a few weeks now and I think he's done a pretty good job of making some 54mm Mk5 power armour. ^_^ Oh, and the paintjob isn't bad either. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320307-showcase-alpha-legionnaire-by-the-carthaxian-inquisitor/ Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
The armor conversion looks good, but that gun could have used some more time and effort. Dagoth Ur
I have to echo BCK, very nice conversion and beautiful painting, but the gun and the pose could have used a bit more work. Olis
According to The Carthaxian Inquisitor, it represents a grenade launcher (if that helps). Dagoth Ur
Oh I got that totally! I didn't mean to say that it looked weird or shoddy, just....unfinished if you will? I feel that it isn't up to the same standard as the rest of the figure, as both sculpting and painting are superb. So I am told, constructive critique is welcome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320307-showcase-alpha-legionnaire-by-the-carthaxian-inquisitor/#findComment-4335543 Share on other sites
strongbow
A paint scheme guide would be very welcome for this! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320307-showcase-alpha-legionnaire-by-the-carthaxian-inquisitor/#findComment-4340654 Share on other sites
Olis
A paint scheme guide would be very welcome for this! And an answer: I used the Forgeworld recipe, which is detailed here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289899-alpha-legion-colour-schemes/?p=3659364 Didn't use an airbrush though. I'm sure it would've produced a better result if I had one. Please let 'em know! As you can see, TCI is only too happy to let you know. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320307-showcase-alpha-legionnaire-by-the-carthaxian-inquisitor/#findComment-4341038 Share on other sites
