Capt. Jack
Love your work dude! Seen on Instragram before but the space on this thread allows you to imbellish the backstory and add serious character to your work. Solid conversions and excellent painting. So good! spex
Painted up another Devastor, the sergeant this time. Also I made some fiting terrain for the Death Guard, hopefully to be put on a fitting plate soon :D http://i.imgur.com/A9xP5L9l.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320542-among-the-red-stones-of-pallas/page/3/#findComment-4665825 Share on other sites
DaBoiKyknos
Quite cool painting. But to give in a little to personal nitpicking tendencies: Rusted ammo-feeds on the Deredeo? Either he didn´t use his guns in many decades or the Death Guard is already using dust color on their stuff because they love it so much... Hyper corrosion due to deathworld athmosphere and/or use of toxic weapons near the Deredeo. spex
Finished a new Contemptor for my Talon, this one should become a real space marine predator. Lorewise I imagined him to be a former Moritat or Destroyer Sergeant.http://i.imgur.com/1zUu898h.jpgclose ups http://i.imgur.com/MHg11u9h.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/b10pHc8h.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/UYuenRIh.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/fodsqyfh.jpg  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320542-among-the-red-stones-of-pallas/page/3/#findComment-4691500 Share on other sites
hushrong
Love the paint job and the weathering effect. Nice to see the destroyer marking and your idea for his past service. Â Seems like a decent deal. Ordered to work with very hazardous materials where your body will give out on you then to be interned in a dreadnought to keep on fighting. Now I am wondering why dreadnoughts weren't used solely for rad weapons in the first place. brother tycho
10/10..  feeling nostalgic! gee think only a percent of the 2nd edition rhino kits would have been realised to this standard..  it kind of also speaks to me along the lines of all those that take up and give up the hobby thinking they'd reach its zenith, because your rhino would have changed their minds! spex
Man, thanks guys. Seriously 10/10.. feeling nostalgic! gee think only a percent of the 2nd edition rhino kits would have been realised to this standard.. it kind of also speaks to me along the lines of all those that take up and give up the hobby thinking they'd reach its zenith, because your rhino would have changed their minds! Mate, that's a really kind compliment. This one was really something special. I'm 26 and I started with Warhammer 40k in January 2002 so I missed this time of the hobby but I got an older brother and he and his friends played a while before me so I had allways a connection. This particular rhino I found in the hobby remenants of a guy I know. He's all kids, family and "grown up stuff" but he played like way past and he mucked out boxes in his attic and under lots of not so decent painted models there was this Rhino, unpainted, still in the sprue from 20 years ago. So it finally got made ready to role on the battlefields, carrying my Death Guard. Soldier of Dorn
Glorious paintwork. Really proves that if the painter is skilled enough, it really doesn't matter how old a model is. The old Rhino fits in perfectly. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320542-among-the-red-stones-of-pallas/page/3/#findComment-4731474 Share on other sites
BrotherCaptainArkhan
Your log just gets better and better. The style, the photography, the customisation on each miniature, and of course the painting - my favourite DG on these forums.
