Reallife has really kicked my ass this year hopefully this week i'll get back on track but it looks like my re-vowing plans are gone up in smoke. Well done to all those with completions and 2nd/3rd vows, you are still bring the fight to the foe and to all the rest of in the words of Red Leader "keep on target, keep on target".

I'm in the final stage. I can see light at the end of the Tunnel.
Finished the last Wolf Lord and the Wyrdstorm Brotherhood (proud of all 6 of them) and the 5 Scouts (simple and clean paintjob, nothing overly difficult).
And already started on the 10 Grey Hunters. Probably will get them finished tomorrow. After that I'll have the rest of the week for the 15 Blood Claws...
...if all goes according to plan - and no one CHANGES the ways I can do my work.

I have the slight feeling the Chaos Forum guys sacrificed some virgins, a handful of leftover sprues and unbalanced codices to slow us down.
We've all been ill, hit by real life issues, hurt ourselves, lost our way or were ... distracted by our spouses. *coughs* Damn the Wyrdgods!
But my brothers, we push onwards!
Just like Bran Redmaw and his company pushed through the warp - and embraced the "Curse" inside of them - to get to Fenris!
Just like Engir Krakendoom sliced his way through Eldar and Daemons alike to save the Wulfen!
Just like Erik Morkai chopped a Slaaneshi Prince into pieces with his twin axes!
Just like Gunnar Red Moon did not despair as the Warp swallowed his fleet, to spit it out above Emberghul!
Just like Harald Deathwolf defeated the insidios Vykus Skayle, despite the foul "blessings" of his gods!
Just like Bjorn Stormwolf tamed the wolf inside him, to put the Wulfen into his safety!
Just like Egil Iron Wolf never gave Midgardia up, nor his search for Logan Grimnar!
Just like Krom Dragongaze put his pride to the side, to work with Brother-Captain Stern - so the Daemons plot can be stopped!
Just like Ragnar Blackmane, of all our Wolf Lords, is the one concentrating to hold back his ferocity for now, so he can be diplomatic!
Just like Sven Bloodhowl showed the Khornate abominations that a berserker of a proud warrior-race can shed far more blood for the Emperor!
Just like Kjarl Grimblood roasts demons and traitors alike, in his ever-burning hatred!
Just like our Great Wolf, Logan Grimnar, fights his way through the Nurgle-infested caverns of Midgardia!
And just like Bjorn the Fell-Handed, our Eldest, the Ancient among the Old ones, the Trueclaw, the Revered One and Last of the Company of Russ, has been guarding our home, our fortress, our world, even in the Warp, since the day our Primarch left into the Warp!

We shall fight on!

So the armor has been cleaned up. If I can get the metal and fur/skin cleaned up, and weapons glazed tomorrow, I can get the washing and weathering done Tuesday, leaving me 2 1/2 weeks on Ragnar.

Well it looks like the first window of opportunity has finally arrived for doing some painting. Not in work till this afternoon and the wife's working this morning. Only got the youngest at home so time to crack out the crayons/paper for her and my vow for me. It's nice to sit together and be creative. I can guarantee I'll have to get an old push fit model and knackered paintbrush out for her at some point this morning. ;) :d

Hello guys. Just a quick update. I'm alive and kicking like they sing .

Despite all the packing and my daughters to look after during the holidays, I manage to get some time to paint almost everyday. And I'm proud to be stronger than the call of the ps4

 

I've finished the thunderwolves. Just the two dead thousand sons on the Lord and WGBL's bases to finish.

I've taken some pictures but I'm on my phone and can't upload them properly.

I will do the riders from tomorrow on and try to upload the wolves pics. Three weeks to get it done. That will be a rush !

Question for the group. I want to try something different on my Ragnar and do the outside of his cape purple. I know traditionally red looks the best with purple, but I'm afraid the red will clash with the purity seals on the model. Any ideas?

Speaking of Ragnar, I actually managed to get him about half way done tonight. That was a pleasant surprise. Just need some advise on his cape, do the seals and gems, then it'll be clean up and weathering time.

Sorry I can't participate this year (last few years I have fought for the Black templars, but I have heard the call of the ice and know who I will be fighting beside in the future) But rl military commitments mean im completely unable to take part. Next year I will be all over this though.
