The Praetor of the Ashen Brigade, Aryeh Avraham, is done! Wanted him to be the centerpiece of my force. Pics:

Did a little more glazing, and a little more shading -- along with picking out and washing some of the metallics :)

Getting there! I included my old SoH grunt to show the change in my overall scheme. This decision was two fold:

 

1. The amount of steps using the FW air paints were cut in half compared to my citadel scheme

 

2. I really dig the 'stormy sea' green. Makes my older scheme look like a little too green IMO

WELP.... as promised, I finished these guys and here they are. Worked through the night to make sure they were finished within 24 hours of my first update... so here you are, I also took pics of the whole unit and all of my possessed Word Bearers as well just for the hell of it.

sigh- havent actually painted anything yet... sold the storm eagle and 15 of the 20 mkii assault dudes and picked up a set of Immortals, IF mkiii heads, templar termi pads and fists LR door for my spartan, 2 more quad guns and a lightning. Have spread my bits about enough to finally have an idea of what I have and what I want to have to finish this ETL up strong:)!

Wow hi res is unflattering. On his first outing the cloak broke off, in fixing it I got a drop of super glue which I thought I'd cleaned up. Guess I've got some touch up to do. BATTLE DAMAGE!

This is a great choice! It makes you sea-green unique and different. If it also means it's faster you've got a win-win! I think there should be a book written on the SoH colour variations... Impressive stuff KBA!

What is this? Totally awesome Contemptors' day? And in the most impossible colours too? laugh.png Amazing mithril, but then you know how I feel about yellow, the MOST challenging colour ever! Tons of respect man!

I might get around to adding more details if we get any space wolf transfers or legion specific doors etc but he's good enough for me to move on from.

Long time lurker emerging here to do my bit for the cause, Im currently in the middle of my final school exams so my progress will be slow until july, but I thought I'd get my foot though the so I don't miss the cut off.

 

I vow the following:

A World Eater Centurion for the glory of the XIIth. A legion champion with a jump pack and melta bombs for 110 points.

Three Thallax I got second hand from ebay, with one chainblade, melta bombs and a photon thruster for 180 points.

++OLIS' WEEK TWO (AND A BIT) ROUND UP++


Brothers and sisters, You have my profound apologies for the late thread update, for you see I was away in London this weekend just gone. Mostly sweating in a leather jacket on some very sunny days and complaining about underdone steak, but that's by the by. We have seen Semper's second update and we can clearly tell that, once again, we are storming into the lead in pretty much every category. Just like last year. Deep breaths, people, deep breaths.

As of now we have:

  • Pledged total: 89,516 points
  • Completed total: 9,159 points
  • Vows completed: 13
  • Completion rate: 10.2%
  • Number of vows: 93
  • Average vow: 962 points

Not bad numbers if I may say so myself. The value of the average vow may have dropped by a good amount compared to last week but at least we still have vows and, more importantly, completions coming in. Of note, we now have another titan pledged to the cause by Ninjaman! Good to see you bringing out the big guns, brother. thumbsup.gif

Now then, we have had quite the slow down in recruitment, as can be expected in Weeks Two and Three, going from 74 vows in the first week to 19 (including revows). That's not great, if you were being unfair (as our rivals could be, were they not sporting). On the other hand, 19 more vows is a significant increase compared to many other subforums.

Last year we barely broke the 100,000 points mark. This year, I truly believe we'll break that again. Will we easily do it this time?

Quick question to my fellow 30k'rs tongue.png

I dont have 30k books yet ($$$) but my next vow is going to be the termie squad from the calth box... Soooo how should i equip them as Imperial fists???

before you ask, I do know i'd like to eventually run/steer towards a (is it the pride of the legion?? unsure.png...) themed Imp fists force so combi bolters and what else ... chain fists???

i want to get a vehicle to put them in eventually so i'm being very far sighted here(i can hear the words now tongue.png "How are you going to get them across the table without being shot up etc etc..")... any help in creating the squad would be greatly appreciated wub.png i better start cleaning em up ready for priming !!

MODS- (Will edit the post to be my second vow when i work out the squad composition)
