Well, I certainly wish for you guys to be blown into smithereens by the forces of chaos, make no mistake! But fair's fair -- those are some excellent 11th hour completions. I especially like Robzilla's very clever Alpharius conversion and everything in the latest post by the Observer. Very nice!

It will all be for naught in the end, of course, but as a World Eater, I know the value of a honourable opponent msn-wink.gif

VOW FREAKING COMPLETE!

I'm pretty sure im before the deadline at least! After a rather bad accident at work I ended up in hospital for a long while and after just getting out about a week ago I came to the realization I had made a pledge and done absolutely no painting on it. So in an act of desperation and defiance I set out to paint my vow in a single day and night, and these are my results(really crappy photos but Ill have better ones for my plog):

Not sure if this is according to the super strict rules... rolleyes.gif which would incur a massive penalty to the whole HH!
Is this really how the HH plans to lose the ETL? tongue.png msn-wink.gif

Guys, this is a tremendous effort with a second Warlord no less! Points are accumulating fast, so keep at it! Especially those with second and subsequent vows still pending, it'll be a shame to get penalty points at this stage...

It was the storm cast Eternal parts mostly. The torso was from the Draycoth rider in the aos starter set, the legs were hacked up and repositioned from a regular stormcast.

The Plasma blaster is a shortened plasma rife, the backpack is two regular ones combined with the sergeant from a devastator squad, and finally the head is from the grey Knight termie sprue.

All bulked up with green stuff a little for scale

I'm declaring my two vows complete; I notice that I'm only shown as one incomplete vow in the second post. I did post a 'quick' pic of the completed bunch in late July so I could start the TSS, but to remove any doubt of the completions, here goes...

Sadly, after the ETL I will redo the Termies, as they aren't pink enough compared to my revised efforts with the Contemptor! I also am awaiting some bases to arrive, so they match the ruined bases! I will try to take better light box photos, but I didn't want to miss the deadline!!

I call my first (and only) vow, consisting of a 10 man tactical squad with a legion vexilla and a sergeant with a combiweapon and artificer armor for a total value of 180 pts, completed.

I apologize for my lateness in completing my vow, procrastination got the better of me for many weeks (plus uni paperwork, holidays, and a couple other things), but I must say I'm quite satisfied with the result, my first unit for my Imperial Fists army is completed, the painting is not too bad, and it is the first time I get to paint a full unit in a row. I'm confident that for the next ETL I will be able to pledge more and bigger vows.

Alright, after considerable procrastination, various health issues, work, and other factors, I declare my vow tabletop worthy, and thus complete.

 

Horus is very daunting, and I may come back to him after some practice with Justaerin, but still was fun.

 

Pictures are terrible quality but it's late at night and taken with my phone because I cannot for the life of me find my camera... god the flash ruins them... >.<
