Naminé Posted May 31, 2016 Share Posted May 31, 2016 My favourite setup with the Canoness is to run her with a rosarius, power axe, and melta bombs in a blob squad with priest support and a command squad with the banner backing her up. It's a LOT of attacks and she can easily mulch through most things other then super heavies or GMC's in cc. Rolling on the rulebook warlord traits is a huge boon in this case. If she's running a little more solo, then another great combo is as above, but with the cloak of saint aspira (no rosarius this time) in a squad of crusaders, as she makes a great tank and they need nothing else to function. The cloak also pairs well with allies, especially if you put her in a unit of higher Toughness (Thunderfire cannon unit suddenly becomes unkillable to mass firepower). The gunslinger variant is another cool option, but she'll probably need a transport to get the most out of it. I just had a mental image of a Canoness with holding a heavy bolter in one hand with ammo clip wrapped around her arm while, flipping a knife with her other hand and holding a cigar in her mouth. Oh wow, yeah the TFC with her hanging out would keep them up something sweet... too bad we don't have something fluffy that matches it.
