Angels of Caliban (Spoilers)

There's still time for this, but it'd make more sense to me to tie the corruption of Caliban into Lion El'Jonson's time in the forest before he was found by Luther. Kinda a head canon/story idea if I ever write for BL but I think the Lion dosen't speak about his "childhood" because being dropped alone in the middle of the forest actually made HIM a great beast (basically Curze but in the woods), and he killed Calibanites before Luther and the other members of the Order rode out to kill him not knowing what he was. Now according to AD-B (I don't know if this was discussed with all the BL writers or if this was just a detail he decided to add) but Chaos expected him to turn against the Emperor, I'm guessing due to all of his childhood being exposed to Chaos. Now Luther knows the truth of his childhood and keeps it to himself/reveals it to the Inner Circle and their banishment on Caliban and now knowledge of what Chaos is/its effect on Caliban/Horus' rebellion makes THEM think they are doing the right thing in turning against their Chaos tainted Primarch.

At the end of "Fallen Angels" I want Luther to be sort of a tragic hero. He knows something is horribly wrong on Caliban. He knows(?) the Lion may be involved in it. He feels the only way to stop it and preserve Caliban is to become that which he has been taught to hate, a Chaos Sorcerer, hoping to use the blessings of the Chaos gods against them. Bites off more than he can chew and falls. Final epic battle with The Lion (aka Luke Skywalker/Darth Vader) where Luther turns at the end to good. Defeat of the Chaos gods, but too late to save Caliban from the madness and destruction. Tragedy and Despair, but also hope of Redemption. Cue music!

Has the "using bad guys evil powers against them" trope EVER worked? lol I guess it's desperation

You're right! The whole Emperor vs. Horus thing is more Biblical than this. But it goes to the point that usually in these sort of things, EVERYBODY is utterly convinced that they are the ones doing the right thing. I want to see Luther as tragic, not evil. He is fighting to preserve Caliban, not the Imperium.

Considering Autek Mor is leading 1/6 or the remaining Iron Hands on a mission that involves slamming moons into traitor planets I think Medusons little band of friends is getting way more credit than they deserve.

It hasn't at least in one episode of charmed where one of the sisters lost her powers so she stole some demonic ones to kill demons who were threatening her nephew and her sisters lives

Don't know why I just noticed this, but as far as the artwork on the cover I HATE that depiction of Konrad Curze's armor. In 'Savage Weapons' we know that the claws on his armor are on his fingers much like Kor Phaeron's. Maybe FW was unable to replicate it in a way that was feasible, and I'm sure we'll hear "He has multiple marks of armor he's a Primarch etc." whatever. That's not how Curze looks AND THE LION IS NOT BLONDE

Hasn't all his artwork been blonde for years? Or at least very light brown.

Only one I can think of is the illustration that was in Descent of Angels. Obviously not coloured, but it certainly seems bright enough.

He looked ambiguously bright-haired in Deathfire as well, though that was Neil Roberts' work too.

You're right, he did look light haired in that picture (horrible haircut lol) I wonder why it's so hard/authors and artists don't make sure these depictions aren't the same. maybe I'm just nitpicking

With all these loyalist centred novels that the Night Lords appear in it really makes me wish they would finally get their own actual novel (preferably by ADB) which solely is about them and their actions in the Hereay and not just the incompetent super villains they seem to be portrayed as in a few novels.
