GW FAQ - Dreadnoughts P11, BA P19

Well - pretty good overall.

Got the stat boosts we wanted!

5 Attacks for Cassor Confirmed!

They have done a goof seemingly with the Frag Cannon Wall of Death (as they said previously it would be 2D3), I have commented so will hopefully get a change.

The Triple Stormraven formation can, if you want allow first turn charge from deep strike up to the range of:

  • Move on from reserve 6", disembark 6", Deep Strike within 12" of two units (including pod), Disembark 6" from pod, Charge up to 12"

So a Dread could feasibly get a good... 32" - 42" of charge range from our board egde... Probably a little less...

This FAQ contradicts previous FAQ that state if your template weapon has 2 or more shot you roll d3 for every shot.

In General - Someone at the office summoned the Chaplain Obvioso.

But that's for good actually - they seems to update codex pretty soon

Okay!

So a comprehensive somewhat realistic wishlist (some of which we know already):

Dreads: 4 Attacks base / 13|13|10 AV maybe / Cassor Included in 4A buff/ Frag cannon 2D3 Wall of Death

Scouts: WS/BS4 Errata

Corbulo: Can we affect our opponents dice/ Seize roll?

Psychic: Can wings target Jump Infantry/ Confirmation we can use the AoD Disciplines

Relics: Is it one per model?

Tech Marine: Wounds/ Points

Vanguard Veterans: Heroic Intervention/ Upgrade costs

Terminators: Points Costs lowered

Vehicle Squads: Maybe implement them with same bonuses as codex, potentially even one for Baals

Command Squads: Apoth/ Champ upgrades optional

Triple Raven Turn 1 Charge: Yes we can

Let me know of anything I've missed!

Updated with what was confirmed.

Do we have a legit answer now on the Libby dread attacks or is it just some people think the specialist weapon of the fist doesn't apply if using the halberd vs the specialist weapon rule does apply even though you are using the halberd?

Scouts and Cassor is cool, though!

Edit: ninjaed: I thought the first faqs about rules in general said frag cannons get 2 d3 for over watch or was that something else?

I remember specifically seeing something that only applied to the frag cannon in the general rules faq...

Charlo, it isn't to Charge you^^, but, Very few to no Blood Angels can actually use this "3 Stormravens formation"....and the fact that the GW give it a Whole page, speak a lot of how far GW is from the reality....

The Current Space Marines formation are far more reliable and usable than this "3 Stormraven formation".....

With rumors from reliable sources of a Campagin book coming for BA in the short-mid future, I have no doubt we will be getting decent formations in the future.

It also finally puts to bed the "Skies of Fury is Deep Strike" argument (clue: it's not).

I remember the first time I thought of this, then I read the rules. It's amazing what happens when you read the rules laugh.png

You have no idea how much "fun" we've had with that one down in the OR...

Anyway, I've asked for the following already:

  • Clarification on the Relic Weapons rules
  • Clarification on Librarian Dreadnought attacks depending on which weapon you use
  • Clarification on the Corbulo issue
  • Mentioned the frag canon issue (along with everyone else)
  • Clarification on the Adeptus Astartes Power Deck issue (yes I know the answer here, so don't remind me again!)

...

I don't get what you mean dude?

The FAQ says something that can deep strike turn one can charge using the rule.

So i must admit im slightly peeved that they have made cassor slightly broken for his points cost lol

Hes a death company dread. So he has one extra attack compared to a normal dread.

Normal dreads have 4 so he has 5, like the other DC dreads.

Yeah but dosent he still have the old blood talons?

Not since the new codex October 2014........

Asked for clarification on the second frag cannon profile.

Did anyone else get their question completely ignored?

Across myself and 2 other friends we asked:

Is there a reason that tacticals can use a heavy flamer by devs can't? (Can you fix or address this)?

Is there a reason that our devs can't take grav canons, but other troop choices have access to grav weaponry (can you fix or address this)?

Is there a reason that a frag canon (supposedly a blood angels specialist weapon) appears in an imperial fist miniature in overwatch as a heavy weapon, when it is unavailable Le to blood angels marines as a heavy weapon? (Can you fix / address this).

Or words to that effect.

All 3 questions completely ignored!
