GW FAQ - Dreadnoughts P11, BA P19

I can see the Frag Cannon going back to 1 D3. Which I'd be fine with, but it irks me that they used that exact weapon type as the example of giving 2 D3 WoD attacks.

Jolemai, you are probably right about them changing the BRB FAQ.

To back up a bit from previous grievances: As far as future AA is concerned we can assuredly take the Skyhawk wing for all our Anti-Air needs, as they have no chapter tactic rules are simply a formation in and of themselves and can be painted to match any Astartes color scheme.

I'm not as worried about TDA or VV points costs at the moment, as one is obsolete, right now, in my opinion while the other can gain free upgrades from the formation, or you keep them cheap and only take 1-2 power weapons as needed for your formations, or if you just want to take them.

I would like for them to clarify how many attacks the libby dread has. As even on the Facebook page there is a ton of discussion on the issue with each side taking a strong for or against with little wiggle room unfortunately.

Of course we can do that, but we can do the same thing with Guard flyers or even Xenos flyers. That still does not make them faction BA flyers.

On top of that AoD muddled the issue what a [chapter name] detachment is and which unit get special rules. While it would be nice stats wise to have IWND on "our" Stormhawks, it makes them feel even less our own.

I know this isn't official, but i asked the guy at my shop who goes to a lot of tournaments and is known as the "walking rule book", though he actually used the rulebook and does not just go from memory, and he initially said no extra attack for the LIbby, but after explaining the other side, he checked the rules again and agreed that RAW the libby gets an extra attack. The specialist weapon rule only applies when you are attacking directly with that weapon... He even agreed that a Capt with a chainsword and PF would get an extra attack if using the chainsword to attack, but not if using the PF since that would factor in the specialist weapon rule, where using the chainsword would not.

I know it's not official, but it seems pretty clear to me RAW he gets the attack, not sure about RAI though...

I think it's more the dreadnought rules that clarify it.

I think it still works out that, no matter which you fight with (on normal infantry) if one is a specialist weapon, you only get an extra attack if paired as such.

And as for flyers, I agree.

If we aren't officially getting access to the Stormhawk and Talon, I'd quite like (and honestly rather have) a dual kit for our own two unique flyers.

Like the DA and SW have :)

It's for this reason I think it very likely we'll get one...

I agree with you guys on the libby dread attacks. But holy cow at all the chafe against it!

I'm fine with 2 storm hawks being painted red, it isn't as big of a deal to me to have a personalized flyer again; however if they want to give us one in the future I'm okay with that. But it isn't on my needs list compared to many other wants.
