Doctor Perils
Command hierarchies: Whereas this is an interesting idea, I'd be wary of adding too much "weird stuff" to your chapter - they are already a divergent successor of a codex-divergent chapter, any more and they run the risk of moving into "special snowflake territory" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325031-the-stormbloods/page/2/#findComment-4525811 Share on other sites
Tyriks
Hm. I could drop the chaplain thing. I included that mostly because it bothers me how few steps there are in the command chain, and I want to emphasize the theological matters that they hold so important. But I could have the officers fulfill the mundane role of a chaplain without them ever having held the title or performed the battlefield role. As for the others, would that be so different? The idea I'm coming from is that this is not natural to them - they spent thousands of years with a more normal command structure and then tried to adopt new roles they weren't entirely familiar with. Like they read about blood priests in a book but had never seen them, so they sort of filled in the blanks and got it a little wrong.
