Well haven't we all been bitten and now suffer from "shiny shiny new toys" syndrome biggrin.png , well i have and i need to find a cure so lets start with the treatment shall we....

First purchase was the termie captain(which incidentally is a vow for the Imp Fists forum call to arms)

here's my first WiP's, he's about halfway done, very happy so far, it's a 3 piece model which can easily be painted in separate parts although the head is a pre-shaped head at the back so swapping out heads may require a little work sad.png so i opted for the normal bare head.

Not sure what to base him on.. was thinking of putting my deathwatch on some eldar like bases to show them "taking the fight" to the enemy...

Rashbold: the only cure is to BUILD... and then.. to BUILD MORE! tongue.png

Rashbold: That is a very cool idea. I wish I had thought of that before getting the Sector bases. The new AoS 'Shattered Dominion' bases would be excellent for that as well.

Stunning! Absolutely stunning work!

Ciao,

R.

I think the black armour could use some kind of highlighting,

Otherwise it looks great.

True statement indeed...,in my defence he is Halfway done as i stated in the first post tongue.png Grey highlights are tonight's Mission.

thnx for looking.

Mithril

Updatey Timey,

Cap's about done, with my Deathwatch im working towards nice tabletop level so not going to go all OCD on this project(i really want to play this army...quickly),he just needs the sword finished and a Fist Decal on the shoulder and some kind of Eldar wraithbone and tile base made to show he's on an Eldar Craft World in the thick of it purging the poor slender folk from the Galaxy laugh.png

when i get the base style sorted i may make about 5 or so of them in 32mm,40mm,??mm (whats dread size) and some bike bases and get some resin ones made up for the rest of my army...to come happy.png

Cheers, Mithril

up next... maybe some bikers with power weapons...(is that all the special gear the bike guys can have from the dex?

@ONDIG - yes a venator killteam has a requirement of 2x bikers minimum a 5x man vet squad and any number of Librarians, terminators and ...blush.png sorry can't remember the rest off of the top of my head !! laugh.png

@ Mehman - nice to see you man thumbsup.gif yeah im hoping to get a kill team force done(been waiting years for the chance) how are the Clerics Going?... i still love that chapter symbol wub.gif

I have put together a Blood angel biker and halfway through an Ultra biker... pics tomorrow, hopefully with some paint on em!!

cheers Mithril

The Clerics are back on go after several months of meandering down more fantastical paths. It seems I couldn't bear the thought of power armour for some time but, now that all the silliness is over, it's time to get back to my favourite Unforgiven Successor Chapter happy.png! I still think of you and the help you gave me - so much so my wife knows who you are.

With that being said, work harder and faster, damn your eyes! We need more pictures laugh.png!

Quick update,

Managed to get the 2nd guy together and undercoated them, here's proof Mehman tongue.png sorry they're just black mellow.png

I started on the Ultra's head as that was base coated white, plus i like to find their personality in their face before i do the rest sometimes...More painting tonight after work.

Cheers, Mithril

Proof indeed, my friend. I see you have found a suitable head for our biker friend, as well. Consider this idea stolen happy.png!

Your level of detail is quite grand and you've really just started - the Terminator Captain doesn't count tongue.png. I think I'll just put my brushes down now...

Flesh recipe ... whistlingW.gif man i gotta remember to write stuff down, sometimes when im on a roll i just phase out and paint and add this then add that wacko.png

From memory(i'll meticulously document the next painted head)

i started with white undercoat i never paint heads from black undercoat no.gif

neatly base wash with reikland fleshshade to bring out the features, carefully avoiding the eyes and mouth with the wash, lets keep them as white as we can.

base colour paint is i think cadian fleshtone or kislev flesh applied with a bit of Lahmian medium, (will double check tonight and amend my post with the correct colour)

i then wash again with reikland very finely then work up the flesh with cadian and a touch of white added and then continually add white to the mix to get to desired lvl of highlight.

the head and chin stubble was done with Mech standard grey watered down and dappled on with a tiny drybrush, when i thought it was too dark i then dappled on watered down celestra grey and then watered down cadian fleshtone or Kislev tongue.png .

and thats it !

working on these guys tonight so should have much more done for the next pic round ! thanks for looking guys, it motivates me to work when i know someones expecting to see something laugh.png

cheers Mithril
