Hail, brothers!

 

A little bit of an introduction for my newest project is in order, I think.

 

Many years ago, now lost in the mists of time, I came up with a color scheme for my own chapter.

Back then I wasn't sure what to make of them, so the test mini sat gathering dust on the shelf until recently when I decided to once more charge headlong into making my own chapter of Astartes.

 

I intend on calling them The Sons of Thunder.

 

As of right now, I don't know anything about history, backstory, or any of the good stuff other than they're going to be strict adherents to The Codex.

 

As an homage of sorts to my 40K roots being back in 2nd Edition, I'm going to go heavy on the old details such as Veterans/Vet. Sergeants all having the Crux Terminatus etc.

 

I'm using this old book to refresh my memory:

My plan is to do a unit of Marines then follow that up with a vehicle or transport (if needed) until I complete a Battle Demi-Company.

 

The first victim... um... the first to get the honours of the chapters heraldry will be this guy that I've literally had sitting around for years:

I already have the models, so I'm eager to begin.
