Maybe drop the melts bombs as at 400pts what would they be used for? Maybe even get more assault marines into the army. K3nn3rs Posted October 12, 2016 Share Posted October 12, 2016 At 400 pets what are you going to face that would need melta bombs? ~100 points for a HQ ~150 - 200 pts for a Troop choice Only leaves 100- 150 left - not enough for a dreadnought/ contemptor. Any vehicle (can they be taken?) can be hit with Krak grenades/ power fist attacks. Slips Posted October 12, 2016 Share Posted October 12, 2016 150 is actually enough for a Cortus-Contemptor (135 no upgrades) who has Front AV 13 meaning you would need a Melta Bomb. Apostle of the 30th Host Posted October 14, 2016 Share Posted October 14, 2016 Unfortunately, the Assault Squad will have to lose one of the 3 Power Axes - it's a 1 per 5 choice so that's a max of 2 in your 10-man squad (+ the Sergeants weapon of course). Might also be worth making your HQ a Chaplain instead of a Champion as I would think Zealot for the entire squad would be much more useful than a Master Crafted Weapon and a single WS6 Character. Plus the Chaplain gets a free power weapon so he could have the blade and something else.
