Heresy era Jump Packs Sold Where?

I searched a few things on the forum, but my prayers to the Omnimessiah weren't answered.

 

If I want a lot of MkII style jump packs like those sold by forgeworld in the £35 MkII assault squad kit, there seems to be no official way of getting just those jump packs only. I know that if I wanted the MkIV jump packs, the plastic sanguinary guard bits would work and are readily available.

 

And I know there's some great alternative bits put out by several model and bits companies, but I would like Forgeworld or GW specific, if possible, because I'm a glutton for wallet punishment. ;)

 

Any ideas or links I'm missing?

In my experience your only option is keeping an eye out on ebay and the various bits sites. They restock a few times a year and if you are quick you can buy up all they have. That's what I've had to do.

 

You could also buy the assault squad and then sell on all but the jump packs as a despoiler squad.

Sanguinary Guard have MkIV packs, so bit sites often have them for there.

 

Not cheap tho.

I have the wing version of those. Highly recommended. Here is how they look on a variety of armour mks :P

Augustus asked fw during the amsterdam event and the answer was

 

"Jump Packs: Andy Hoare wants them for his Palatine Blades, so he's been pushing the team to do them"

 

I bought chaos packs from kromlech for my Reavers but I dont think im going to use them. Also bought plastic raptor packs but they require too much work...

 

Maybe I'll order those maxmini ones. They look great. But really would like to have mk4 ones

What about Chaos Raptor backpacks? Has anyone seen those being used on Heresy era jump troops? They do have a twin turbine to them, but I'm having a problem finding pictures of the sides and such.

What work did they require? It looks like filing down some "teeth" on the exhaust is all it would take.

They dont match normal marines back, it needs greenstuff and filing for it to look good. I think I will put the lot (15) on ebay and also the kromlech ones and just buy maxmini ones.

Yeah its annoying, idve bought a whole bunch already for my angels but ive been scavenging Sanguinary guard ones instead, i mean on ebay you are still paying FW prices, it seems like a no brainer for them...
