General Discussion Secundus

I edited this section into the page on the Qarith Triumph. Just wanted to check nobody can see anything wrong with it

In all the 250 years of the Great Crusade, there would never be another gathering like that on Qarith Prime. Eight primarchs were present along with the majority of their legions: Icarion Anasem and Alexandros Darshan von Salim, the Emperor's two favoured sons, alongside Sorrowsworn MorroPionius SantorHectarion MycenorNomusK'awil Pakal and Azus. An additional six legions were present by proxy, with their main strength too far away to be present on Qarith for the triumph, the Eagle WarriorsWarbringersGodslayersFire KeepersWardens of Light and Iron Bears. Alongside this never before seen gathering of legionnaires were countless millions of Imperial Army troopers and dozens, according to some sources hundreds, of titans from the Legios Titanicus of the Adeptus Mechanicus.

To prepare the world for this vast gathering of the Imperium's martial might, the geoformer platoons of the Adeptus Mechanicum descended on the world and immediately set to work. In the middle of the vast oceans of Qarith Prime, recently purged of the Qarith by The Drowned and Scions Hospitalier led by their primarchs, the Mechanicum raised a continent from the waves. Unlike naturally forming continents, this continent was totally flat, as if it were one giant parade ground, its borders marked by four metre tall spikes, each topped with the skull of a Qarith overlord. The only raised section was the enormous mountain that came rising out the earth like a pillar of sparkling marble. Jutting out from this mountain there were three platforms. The lowest one was that on which the majority of the primarchs would stand while the upper platform was to be where the Emperor, Icarion Anasem and Alexandros Darshan VonSalim would have the honour of standing, easily within view of even those troops furthest from the mountain.

The core of the vast gathering of Imperial troops would be formed by rank upon rank of legionaries in a solid block of power armour over which fluttered the banners of every company present in Qarith Prime's oceanic breeze. The foremost of humanity's warriors, they took pride of place with their front ranks being legionaries from the Lightning Bearers and Halycon Wardens, honoured for their primarchs closeness to the Emperor, and behind them the grim ranks of The Drowned and meticulously arrayed Scions Hospitalier, given such an honour for the role they played and brothers they lost purging Qarith Prime.

Flanking and behind this solid block of legionaries were the men and women of the Imperial Army and all their armoured vehicles. Within their ranks was represented nearly every world in the Imperium, united by the Emperor's will and vision. Selected for their exemplary valour and conduct, each of the troopers who were present at the Triumph was given the onyx and gold Qarith Triumph Bar to wear on their uniforms. Each of these badges of honour was forged from the melted down bolter shells expended during the Qarith war and was an honour that every trooper present would wear with pride, come hell or high water, until their dying day.

Behind them stood the adamantium ranks of the knightly houses and god machines of the Collegia Titanica. Above this gathering the sky was slashed apart by the white contrails of the thousands of Imperial Army planes that soared over head, forming a thick cloud of metal and noise. Dwarfing even this cloud were the vast warp capable vessels of the Legiones Astartes and Imperial Army, which had descended into low orbit for the Triumph. It was a moment whose glory would echo through eternity yet whose memory was made all the more bitter by the fratricidal violence of the Insurrection.

Hey, I like him.

That's a good depiction of a Skullripper Predator, holding some shrunken heads in his hand. :smile.:

Btw. anyone has seen the newest pics of Inferno? Just looking so freakin' ace. Can't wait for it. :D

Inferno is basically our Codex: Lost Legions.

It's the result of someone in an alternate universe saying: Hey guys, what if Prospero hadn't been swallowed by the warp and we got to see the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons fight it out?

Dude.

So, in addition to being a full- time student and a part-time tutor, I have to log in 150 hours at my internship by the end of the first week of March. Needless to say, my activity will be sporadic until then. I'll post when I can, but gust wanted to notify the project what was going on on my end.

I have a "what if" story somwhere where Russ lives. Kozja gets executed though. And Koschei is on the other side of the blade on the DoR.

I love "What If" stories! Feel like sharing Skalpy? :)

I have to continue the Kozja/Selenar story beforeI can publish that one.

This reminds me, we need to come up with a cover for Insurrection

Good luck with that sim!

I'd be willing to draw a cover, if anyone has ideas as to what it should consist of.

What's the most pivotal battle of this Book? The Cover art should show a depiction of that in some manner.

In all likelihood the Death of the Bear. However, seeing as it's about the Day of Revelation I had the idea that perhaps it could be a landscape with dead marines scattered across it with a few tattered banners
