simison Posted August 1, 2019 Share Posted August 1, 2019 [Contego Warhounds]  Within the precise, clinical martial rhthymn of Contego, the warhound scout titan, and its reckless machine-spirit, was seen as a necessary evil. Accurate intelligence was an absolute necessity to perform Contego's famed, precise manuevers, which ensured the warhound would always have a place within the legio. However, its edacious attitude toward battle uncomfortably paralleled the greenskins' base battle-hunger. As such, warhounds, despite the ease of their construction requirements, were ever outnumbered by the number of Contego reavers. A Contego maniple rarely fielded more than four warhounds, who were responsible for each compass direction.   The Fire of Damysus  The Fire of Damysus was a typical representative of Legio Contego's warhound titans. Beren Posted August 7, 2019 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Maniples are only 5 Titans strong anyway, so if you're trying to emphasise the Warhound's rareness, it might be best to state that these 'compass maniples' are themselves exceptionally rare. I think it's a really cool idea, and even if they don't get rules I think they could be made into the 1st Company similar to the Atramentar are at the moment.
