WiP -Skitarii Vanguard Conversion with left overs.

Recommended Posts

Well i recently got some stuff from Anvil Industry to try out an idea on using all my spare Vanguard arms and helms... after you make Your Ranger/Vanguard unit you have all these parts left as most of you would be well aware yes.gif and such a waste eh?...

if this works out i will have a 10 man unit of Rangers and a 10 man unit of Vanguard from using one box of Skit's and purchasing some parts from Anvil

works out to be another 20 quid (British pounds) to make another squad...less if you buy in bulk msn-wink.gif anyways enough of the free advertising.

here is the first guy done, very detailed molding and i hope to do it justice when i paint him up in the next few days in a similar colour to my other vanguard... see bottom pic.

paint scheme will be pretty much like these guys Troops.gif

there you go, i think he's going to come out looking nice but C&C always welcome.

Cheers, Mithril

Woah, awesome!

Is that just a torso/ legs/ backpack from the Regiments range?

yes sir, medieval torso, short greatcoat legs and a compact fusion plant from the exo-lords range.

As Vel'Cona says "Anvil Industry and 40k are like chocolate and peanut butter". wub.gif

i actually can't wait to get him undercoated and painted then use that as motivation to crack on with the other 9.

cheers, Mithril

Quality.

I've got all my ranger parts spare so I might buy a set of large advancing great coat legs & gothic plate bodies to see what I can craft... Great for getting a few extra rangers in for a tax unit. If I had just one more special weapon I could even blag a 5 man squad of Vanguard....

Wow, those are amazing! wub.gif

I feel like Anvil will be the key to making legit Tech-Guard going forward. Allied IG or simply playing them as Skitarii are both valid options IMO. I'm super eager to see these with a coat of paint. No rush, though! :P
