Most are same as now but They are not bad in 7th so i guess They will be good in 8th too

As with other armies, there is a lot more synergy between the units, which I like. They look really good now, but I don't know how the point cost will balance some things. Tau and Eldar took a hit though, which is good for us.

 

Btw everything in Terminator Armor is at least W2.

There are leaks. I'll give you some. 

 

Belial allows to reroll failed hit rolls 6" around him. With the Sword of Silence he always wounds on 2+, except vehicles. The Sword also comes with a parrying dagger, reducing enemy hit rolls by 1.

 

Death Wing Knights are T4, but W3. Their flails do 2 damage. Bbuuutt "unused" damage spills over to new modells. They come with an item that ignores psychic powers on  a 3+, but is destroyed after one successful save.

 

Death Wing Terminators have the same item.

 

Black Wing Knights move 14" standard.

 

Apothecaries are multi wound characters.

 

Venerable Dreadnoughts hit on +2/+2 and are T7 W7 or 8.

 

Azreals helmet got a range upgrade.

 

Is that ok for now?

Storm Bolters are Rapid Fire 2. 4 shots at half range sounds perfect !

What if I want to bring something that is not on the list, such as a Hunter, Stalker or Stormtalon? I know it won't have the Dark Angels keyword. Will I be able to use themy in my Dark Angels army?

Yes, you can just use the faction keyword Space Marines instead of Dark Angels. I think you'll miss out on Command Points that way, but you can.

This gives me some insight to what Sableclaw and Covex will look like.
 

Both are likely to have a 12-14 inch move... which keeps them mobile.

Corvex gets  Rapid 4 storm bolter, plus whatever the Plasma Canon turns out to be.

Looks like getting hot is now only in effect with the overcharged profile... nice nod to 2nd edition... but it is a mortal wound, which is harsh, I am going to have to think hard about if it is worth it.

 

Sableclaw is now 12 shots with the assault cannon... plus another 6 shots from the Heavy Bolters.
Looks like he is still going to be an infantry killer, with the ability to team up to deal with vehicles and MC... which is fine by me.

Hopefully Sableclaw will get a decent stat line for CC... I'm not expecting WS 2+, but I'm hoping it isn't WS 6+.

 

Did either of you get the chance to check out the stats on either of these 2?

Azrael combined with the right squad seems fun, auto pass morale is huge after the ATSKNF nerf.

Well the new Jink rules are a pretty heavy nerf. Not unexpected. We'll see how Black Knights interact with it.

 

 

Edit: Also, "Imperial Space Marine"? Uh, that's not a term I've heard before. And looks like we STILL can't put a captain on a bike. Guess successor chapters continue to get the shaft.

 

I'm also sad to see that the days of a command squad are done. They'll still be useful now, but the specialists are broken out of the squad as characters now, so my heavily customized TH+SS carriers for the command squad are without homies. The DW Command Squad was an awesome centerpiece to build around, and characters no longer operating with units has me bummed for thematic reasons, less than balance ones.

Sure, but it was named as such to hearken back to RT days. Including the name in 40k is an interesting move. We'll have to see what they're doing with it.

Well, he is inside his own re-roll bubble.  So at least each shot is only a 1-in-36 chance of overheating when overcharged.

 

But maybe this is the edition where Sableclaw is worth taking because it's less generally risky (and hopefully doesn't die in a stiff breeze).

Yeah, his other weapons have been suitably boosted, the slight nerf to his cannon is worth it for the 5x WS2+ S8 AP-3 D2 on the charge.


And a bit of horde control is cool too
