Aaron said that he and Alan did had plans for Sev.

As far as we know, there will be several (got 20 in total in my mind) black books of FW released.

I'm sure that Sev's fate will be covered. Maybe not via BL but surely via FW. We don't even know what there is to come by them, including Aaron. :)

Yeah I did see that and commented upon it in the other thread.

I don't want to come across as a moaning mini, as we have enough of that down here as it is, I think I'm just finding increasingly more difficult to get excited about the books. I'm still going to buy and read Ruinstorm, as I enjoyed David's characters in damnation, but getting into the story will be another thing.

Just pre-ordered Ruinstorm from BL. Shipping to US was almost the same cost as the book itself. Hope it's good...

So you may know this but as a US buyer if u spend over 50-60 shipping is waived. So I will add something if I really want it like a hard cover book for a older story. I used this to round out my collection. The shipping is so high getting another book is worth it for me. For me all the LE have been free shipping.

I also want this as a hard cover so may combine with Fulgrim (still undecided about getting the LE) or just wait for old earth. Annandale has been hit or miss for me so I feel I can wait unless everyone says this is awesome

Reading through it now. Pretty awesome/flashy space battle to kick things off. Ridiculous levels of overkill being employed as a Night Lords Strike Cruiser just got hit by exactly 73 torpedoes.

-_- no kill like over kill

Okay done. Wow that was...a pretty intense novel. A definite must read for anyone interested in the HH plotline as well as those who are fans of the legions portrayed.

***SPOILERS BELOW***

The ending explains how the 3 Legions got to Terra. After their combined forces make their way out of the Ruinstorm, they decide to split up.

-The Dark Angels, expert at these kinds of tasks, undertake exterminatus operations of traitor homeworlds/strongholds in order to lure more of the traitor forces away from Terra.

-The Ultramarines, having the largest fleet of all the Legions, decide to batter the way open for the Blood Angels to get to Terra by destroying the Traitor fleet blockades in their path.

-The Blood Angels make a straight beeline for Terra, following the path broken open for them by the Ultramarines and avoiding the forces distracted by the Dark Angels.

So I think this puts to rest the "Dark Angels and Ultramarines are closet traitors who just sat back and watched the emperor die" theories for good, wouldn't you say?

Glad Madail is in it, also happy to see the Iasus and Hierax from David's Primarchs novel featured. Surprised no mention of the Sanguinor is made, or Ventanus, or Polux.

Were they mentioned in the book at all, or entirely absent? I can see how they may trim the Dramatis Personae a bit down to relevant characters, and at least Ventanus and Polux could be explained away anyway (Calth and Sotha respectively)

In FW Tempest, the UM are described as having a relatively weak [small?] fleet. Also, the Shadow Crusade reaped a very heavy toll upon the UM fleet as well. Is this addressed? How long did Imperium Secundus last? Did the UM rapidly rebuild and expand their fleet? Edited by b1soul

When ADB said it gave him goosebumps I was really hoping for more than those spoilers. That being said, its a real, no :cuss actual strategic decision made for actual reasons that generals would make. Well done BL, well done.

Also, as I said in the other thread, the Ultras only have the largest fleet of the three present legions.

Could be:

-The 10-year gap between Calth and the events of 'Ruinstorm' allowed the near-intact industrial base of Ultramar to significantly replenish the ship losses of the Ultramarines at Calth.

-The Ultramarines were desperately press-ganging every ship that was remotely combat capable into their fleet alongside the freshly produced ones as well as captured ships. Resulting in a numerically superior fleet but one much weaker and with a fraction of the firepower.

Does Curze escape?

Sanguinius puts him into a stasis coffin and jettisons him into space.

Im trying to without judgement until I read the novel, but that is so dumb I just twitched

Does Curze escape?

Sanguinius puts him into a stasis coffin and jettisons him into space.

"I cannot let you live. You are too of a threat to us and the Imperium. Still, you are my brother and we both know that your life is not supposed to end here. That is why I will put you in a coffin and threw you into space. If you are lucky, your destiny will come true and you will die. If not, you will die. Either way, you will be gone and forgotten. Your name and that of your Legion along with all the traitor will be expunged from imperial record. Father will prevail. The Imperium will prevail. As long as I live, menkind will end-"

"We both know that this will not last for long, brother. Now, put me in the damn coffin. I cannot bare any more second of your whiny chatter!"

Why would one doe that? I mean...why? That doesn't make any sense to me as for now...

And by the way, could we make use of spoiler tags, please?

Edited by Kelborn

That would make sense. But just leaving him hanging in the void?

Maybe, there is more which we just don't know yet. ;)

Considering there's not a lot of time left and in no way, shape or form would sanguinius leave that thing emitting a signal, my only bet is the Lion translated 5 minutes away, waited for everyone else to leave, then went back to pick him up.

Was going to pick this up today. Might leave it for a bit now. Not inspired at all.

When ADB said it gave him goosebumps I was really hoping for more than those spoilers.

What gave me goosebumps were these words, several years ago in an HH meeting:

'Imagine Guilliman saying: "I will get you to Terra, brothers. It may cost me my Legion... but I will get you to Terra." '

Will Lion El'Jonsherman's march to the galactic sea ever get a novel? I'm fine with it never being covered, it doesn't really need to be, but that's a pretty cool theme to build some models around. Edited by Marshal Rohr
