Manta inbound?

All the FW are now done. 4 had a head swap as they are team leaders and I wanted a bit of a change for them. Plus the bosses always have to be different

 

Now to have a look at what to do next...

Work is continuing on the Manta with the Air Caste and Ethereal done along with the XV8 thighs... Continuing my hit and miss approach to painting the fiddly bits first

All those troopers look great, it's always interesting to see less traditional poses and sculpts.

No posts for a while due to doing some fiddly bits on the Manta - now they are photo worthy so here they are - the consoles are a little out of alignment as they are not glued in yet.

Back to the Manta.

Ignore the resin dust - it gets everywhere.

The cockpit sides have been hinged using brass rod, so I won't be able to lose them 

The plan is to spray the final model in matt varnish to reduce the shine on the green.

The photos have picked up a couple of places that need touching up but never mind.

Next up is dry fitting the hull with the expected mass filing/sanding/pinning and filling to follow

I hate FW resin... Soapy bath, alcohol wash and still peels when the masking tape is removed

Oof, sorry about the paint peeling. However, so far that looks fantastic and mad props for actually attempting that monster!
