Which set are those wings from?

As shabbadoo said, they are from the Dark Angels company veterans sprue. They are designed to fit into the helmet over the ear pieces, and fit into the primaris helmets not perfectly but  well enough

Here's my first Primaris DA with "regular" marine for comparison. I've only just started a DA army as I was given a Dark Vengeance box set about a week before 8th dropped. I'd intended just to keep the DG but changed my mind... Anyway, your thoughts welcome...

quick question, how do you guys get you pictures so large? is it because they're bigger files? or do you upload them different?

I use Microsoft Picture Manager to edit the photos to get the colour balance and to crop the photos down to just show the models. I save large groups of models and vehicles at 800 pixels wide, smaller groups at 600 pixels and single models at 400 pixels. You could use another photo editor equivalent if you do not have Picture Manager.

Once this is edited and saved I upload them to the BnCS gallery.

To insert the photo in to your post, go to your gallery and click on the image you want which will bring up something like this:

gallery_62353_10059_7169.jpg

click on the main photo and you should get

gallery_62353_10059_21008.jpg

Right click on the image and select "copy image location"

gallery_62353_10059_3486.jpg

Go to your reply box and select the Image Icon

gallery_62353_10059_24142.jpg

Right click on the image properties box and past the link you copied earlier

You should end up with this :)

1im thinking about conversions and the most obvious idea hits me...robes and hoods.

Hoods are easy enough. Plenty of options.

Now robes...anyone see or have done robes on Primaris guys yet?

I guess one needs to green stuff them. I would really like robed marines, but sculpting gs is well beyond my skills

yeah my guess would be green stuff. i would suggest practice on an extra marine you may have first. i was scared to green stuff, but i just did my firts attempt (a couple of pics up) and it wasnt too bad. if you look at the new chaplain, you can get an idea of what robed marines could look like

So uh...it isn't a Primaris model. I won a stormcast paint set from the local comic shop. Converted two into Lieutenants. Here is one of them.

I chose the Anvillus-pattern backback because I thought it suited the scale of the "Primaris". I'm going to go back and clean up the gut region and maybe remake the belt.

Sorry for the instragram link. Can't quite work out how to get it to just post here.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but here's my first Primaris Dark Angel I've done and very proud of this badboy. First time ever using transfers with microsol and set

Good work man! I like the dark green tone you have achieved. The decals also come out great. I too have just started using micro sol/set - best results and it got me excited to do decals!
