TC's WIPs - Back with some GSC

Recommended Posts

The Chem Dogs are looking great. It doesn't need saying but I like to. I don't know if I missed it but what will you do for the bases?

Cheers dude! Means a lot when people say that they like my stuff, although according to my girlfriend: "your head is big as it is, you don't need any compliments from people on the internet" :whistling:

For the bases I think I'll do desert/sand. Something simple and low effort honestly

Converted up a Succubus and a Lilith Hesperax Proxy a little while ago and just wanted to show some pictures before I paint them up. The Lilith one was very small conversion but I think looks pretty cool. C&C welcome

Still a bit of tidying up to do on the Lilith proxy (Mostly skin and the highlight in the middle of the faceplate). Is it too bright? Do the colours match? Any C&C would be great

  • 1 month later...

I'm back! I've been ill repeatedly for the last month and unfortunately this has killed my hobby mood and concentration. But now I'm back and ready to go.

I've decided to go back to my Iron Hands and continue with them. Before I moved onto something else I have also painted a Captain, Librarian, some tac marines a dred andsome sternguard which I might post pictures of.

I have painted up an Iron Father, it's still WIP but C&C would be very much appreciated. The armour is meant to be a light oily black but the light seems to make it look different.

Hi guys, just a quick bit of advice about a Watch Master that I converted (Out of hate for the current GW one). Is there anything I should change?

The height of the model itself is very slightly bigger than normal deathwatch models but I want to put it on the scenic base to look a bit more bulky.

I'm not sure what chapter I want to make him, but I think it'll be White scars/Hawk something maybe. Should I keep the bird? It's tacked on at the moment because I'm not sure it looks right. (The purple is where I knocked over a pot of wash and didn't realise until the day after when it had dried, I'm in the process of scratching it off)

Any feedback would be great

New year, new army.

I wanted to go for a fast and mechanised army that was flexible and sneaky. So I decided to go for a raven guard successor, one with very little background and lore so that I could add some flavour and fluff to them and slowly grow this army. It'll be a mechanised army (razorbacks, rhinos and drop pods) with airbourne elements (jumppacks flyers and speeders)

I have no idea if they're going to be good game wise I just wanted to do a fluffy army that I could have fun with.

C&C on the lore would be great

The Raven’s Watch are a mysterious relatively unknown chapter. The specialise in hit and run tactics as well as stealth but are also able to muster armour and quick airbourne assaults when the need arises. They have an unknown founding date but are suspected to be a very late founding. A side effect of their geneseed implantation is that their Iris and Sclera are pitch-black. It is unknown what causes this mutation but it is particularly helpful at ending uprisings or terrifying the enemy .The Forgeworld on the planet Beshic V in the Besloor system supplies the Raven’s Watch with most of their arms and armour and is a neighbouring system to their homeworld.

For the first time since the foundation of the Raven’s Watch chapter, the entire chapter fought together in defence of the Besloor system. Raven Guard successors are famed for their independent companies and rarely fight together, except in extreme circumstances. A splinter of hive fleet Jörmungandr was heading straight for the system and would be there within a month. The system’s defence force had sent out a distress beacon pleading for any nearby imperial forces to help fight the incoming bioforms and evacuate the system. The Raven’s Watch answered immediately and managed to beseech a nearby Imperial Naval fleet to divert some of their ships, from their course to Cadia, to help with stemming the tide.

3rd Company Captain Enoe quietly advanced with tactical squad Tekoth down into the tunnel. The 6 marines formed a hexagon and moved perfectly at the same speed, making no noise. The tunnels were once part of a long winding river but now serves as an entrance to an imperial settlement underground. The surface was an arid desert with little to no plant life or water after the previous inhabitants of the planet waged all-out war that nearly destroyed the planet. It is very rich in natural resources and is used as a forge world that sends arms and armour to the Raven’s Watch. All of the civilians and planetary defence force live underground in enormous cave systems. The inside of the caves had been terraformed when the planet had been found by the great crusade, as the planet had a very thin atmosphere. Captain Enoe had read all the information the Raven’s Watch had access to on Beshic V before making planetfall. When Captain Enoe made contact with the General of the planet’s PDF, the General had boasted that they didn’t need help with the Tyranids, as his men were extremely well equipped and well trained. Within a day of the Tyranids arriving on the planet; the general, most of the senior officers and half of the planet’s men were dead and more were dying each day. That was a standard Terran month ago and a little over a 3rd of the planet’s forces were left, mostly around the factories. Now under the command of new appointed General Kerra, the PDF was making its mark on the Bioform invaders. They no longer met the Tyranids on open ground and forced them through choke points to stem the tide of bodies coming through tunnels. Under the watchful eye of the 3rd Company marines, the PDF were running hit and run raids on the Tyranids, always keeping them at arm’s reach.

Enoe was snapped out of his thoughts by a loud, echoing screech that came from ahead in the tunnel. The 6 marines moved forward at the same pace, weapons up and checking each corner and crevice. The tunnel turned round at a 90 degree angle and the tunnel opened up into a large cave, covered in plants of all colours. Another scream echoed out and Enoe could see where it was coming from. A group of 20 civilians were cornered by 5 “genestealers”. Another 5 were half way across the cave and sprinting towards the other, blood dripping from their mouths and claws. There were bodies and gore everywhere, mostly civilian but also PDF soldiers and a few bioforms. The 6 marines began shooting down at the 5 genestealers closest to the civilians. The genestealers immediately turned their heads and ran towards the 6 marines. The genestealers were predatory creatures and would attack the thing that they find to be the biggest threat. Enoe and 3 of the marines advanced down the slope towards the five closest bioforms that were now sprinting towards them with acid dripping from their pointed tongues. Veran had just come back from his service in the Deathwatch and had been allowed to keep the Stalker-pattern boltgun, as his marksman skills were second to none in the Raven’s Watch. He and another marine fired down onto group of 5 further away, killing 1 and injuring another, slowing their advance slightly. Captain Enoe opened fire with his Plasma pistol, his first shot burnt through a creature’s carapace leaving it screeching in pain. He thumbed the activation button on his Power sword as it sparked to life and lit the area around him. He charged at the closest genestealer and slashed straight through its jaw. One of the marines that followed him down opened up with a flamethrower bathing two in burning Promethean. Sergeant Tekoth, pulled his chainsword from another creature’s eye socket as it flopped to the ground. The last genestealer in further group had a bullet wound in its knee and was still dragging itself towards Enoe. He raised his boot and crushed the creature’s head.

Captain Enoe looked up at where the civilians were a pile of dead bodies with blood everywhere. His Heads Up Display was showing no signs of life. Something else was in here with them. The marines formed a tight square without Enoe needing to say a word, they had trained and fought together for decades. He barely managed to react when a creature a foot taller than him, landed on him. It’s long appendages coming out of its back swiped at the other 3 marines and knocked them back, using its two arms to pin Enoe to the ground. It screeched at him with its maw opening showing its razor sharp rows of teeth. Enoe struggled to move under its raw strength, the servos in his armour screaming at the effort of trying to fight back. Captain Enoe head butted the creature, cracking an eye lense in his helmet, making the creature rear back. That was all Veran needed as he fired a Hell-fire shell into the creature left eye, making the creature scream as the hell-fire burnt the side of its face and eye. It leaped away with the rest of the squad firing at it but it was too quick and escaped down into the tunnels.

Even unfinished, the Chaplain looks great. The dynamic pose makes him look appropriately intimidating. "You are the Emperor's [female dog], and I am His paddle! Bend over, enemies of the Imperium- it is time for your spanking!"

Haha, thanks dude. I wish I could take credit for the pose but its the standard blood angels chaplain with a pistol swap. I do really like the movement in the pose and like you said he definitely does look like he's going to smack some people around
