Presented here as i've spent pretty much the entire summer working on this bad boy, it's been a real labour of love, but it's finally done and I'm pretty chuffed with it. I know not everyone checks the chaos pages so I thought I'd post it over here too.

It's been built stock with magma cutters, I may eventually do another one that I will do more conversion work on, but I'm large model fatigued right now.

Thanks for looking.

Cool one. Finally the proove that not even the nids can resist the powers of the warp :D I really like that style.

Thanks, I did consider using 'Nid parts to customise the 'fiend a bit, but decided against it on this occasion, but it is certainly something I'm going to be trying for an eventual second one. I have plenty of left over 'fex parts after all.

Mmmmm.....crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Very nice work:tu:

Thanks.

Cool! Love the skin tone and the small writings on the armor ^^)

Cheers - the skin tone is just Pallid Wych Flesh over mourn fang brown, with a wash of sepia and then a highlight of Wych Flesh again, then blood for the blood God around all the open wound areas and some carefully applied lines of Baal red to add texture to certain areas like the muscles etc.

Terrific work! I love that the model is a mini-diorama as well. Very cool. :tu:

Thanks, with a base that big it would be a bit bland just tiled so I had to do something with it, the original plan had a bit more pillar, but when I'd finally assembled the fiend it was clear there wasn't room! I also tried to convey the weight of the thing by having the tiles broken under its feet, I hope it came across. My only regret is only having the monopose cadians to work with so I couldn't aim his lasguns up at the mauler in desperation!

Excellent work. The losing is great and I really like the runes around the Octed on its back.

And your scribble scribble is particularly good. I hate seeing just wiggly lines on otherwise excellently painted models :tu:

Thanks kierdale, I know what you mean about the scribble text, I think it's important to think about the overall shape of the bit that you're doing, and to leave gaps so that there are distinct "words" within each block. Different line lengths within bigger areas to denote paragraph breaks and so on.
