Hi everyone,

I’m sorry if this is known / has been discussed, but I have just noticed in my codex (I have the collectors edition for reference) that the base cost of a predator is 102, which is the same cost as the index. In codex SM they are 90.

I can only assume this is copy paste oversight from the index?

If this is consistent with others codex, I guess we need to let GW know somehow so that it is addressed in the FAQ.

Cheers

I spotted it a week or so ago but no one seemed to make a fuss.

I'm guessing this is indeed an error. People should point it out on Facebook or by contacting GW. I'm sure it will be ammended in an FAQ

Except for at least 3 separate people I've seen also posting it before you...

You sure about that? I brought it up before the codex was released. It's in one of the topics.

No, you cannot.

It says "Predators" in lower case, which refers to the specific unit and not a keyword.

If it was "PREDATOR" (in bold) then the Baal could as it would be a key word, but currently bit can't.

I'd imagine it will be FAQd though like the Death Guard dreads and Inexorable Advance.

I gotta disagree. If it has the Predator keyword, doesn't that make it a Predator?

That's not how things work in 8th tho. The Stratagem doesn't talk about keywords, it talks about the specific unit “Predator“. “Baal Predator“ is a different unit.

Pretty easy for someone to forget ctrl+B on a word as they copied it over from the SM book, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it errata'd.

Yeah but the two keywords right before are in bold. I honestly don't think this will get an errata.

I don't really care if it gets errata'd per se, just wouldn't be surprised if it did.

Damn shame since I have three Predators but not three of either variant specifically.

EDIT: oh I get you now. Could easy be that when the image was redressed from the SM to the BA Codex the editor went through and made sure Space Marine made it to Blood Angel but forgot to change 'Predator' as well. No one is sitting down typing the same thing almost verbatim twice when they can copy/paste, but then it's a lot easier to miss something like this.

In my Enhanced digital version the Baal Predator has both the Predator and the Baal Predator Keyword. I have no doubt that killshot works with Baal Predators.

They are still way to expensive I think. And what is up with putting heavy weapons that can't shoot when advancing on a super fast assault tank? This unit just seem awkward to me. Buy normal assbacks and fill them with angry, red marines, I say.
