Skitarii and Cadian Headswaps

Hi. I'm planning a new conversaion project with the Cadian kit. I am thinking about using Skitarii Vanguard heads for a simple conversion. However I have no experience working with the Skitarii kit. How well do the Skitarii heads fit with the Cadian torsos? How much filing would be required to make them fit?

Put simply You will need to carefully drill a 'neck hole' socket to accept the ball of the Skitarii Vanguard head. This is a resurrected image of my own project doing just what you're saying, so I added a bit to attach backpacks as well, but the head alone is a simple enough conversion and it will have a full range of movement.

 

Start with a small drill bit, get it nice and centered, drill down ~2mm, and then use incrementally larger drill bits until you have a hole at the right size, about 4mm.

 

 

A few more options for Cadian legs and arms would be nice, but it's a simple yet effective way to create a Mech Guard models.
