Spikedhalo
Well, finally, I have finished something like an army. I've started my collection several times, and now, I think, came to something constant)) I always liked Alpha Legion... but I was afraid to paint it. Because the schemes of painting always demanded aero. But one day, here, I've noticed posts of one guy... Man, God bless you) THAT was a scheme of Alpha Legion painting with Shades... Wow, I did make some notes about it! And after that... Dark Imperium came out! Beautiful, detailed - damn Proportional miniatures! And that gave me a real hunger for shaping my own, new way of Alpha Legion... Primaris way) I've modified the scheme a little bit, but it is rather simple. Base - Leadbelcher, Then - Coelia Greenshade, then again - Coelia greenshade, then Guilliman blue. Drybrush - Leadbelcher, Edge Highlighting - Thousand sons blue. And that's it! As for the story... We all know, that Belisarius Cawl made Primaris geneseed for all the legions, including the Traitor ones) And in Guilliman's crusade, some chapters were formed entirely from Primaris to defend some key planets. But in every plan, there is a place for a mistake. May be, there was one chapter... formed and left behind, formed by a mistake from pure Alpha Legion geneseed? May be, in records they are mentioned as sons of Raven... or even as an Ultramarine Successors... BUT - by the Blood, they are true sons of Hydra. May be, by some mistake - or a trickery of AL agents, none noticed that mistake, and then... when our new chapter was left alone - they were allowed to find out the truth. Or somebody told them the Truth of who they are and on what side they should fight. So, the emblem on their left shoulder is a Silver Serpent, and that is how chapter is called - The Order of a Silver Serpent. But their Ancient bears their True Standart - Alpha Legion standart with Hydra on it. I decided not to remove an aquilla from their armor - really, why Alpha legion should do that? They Should look as loyalists... even their look must lie and deceive! Enough words, let me show you some pics. Don't judge me for their quality) That's all I can do with my phone)) Here it is, the Primaris part of Dark Imperium set... painted as a Alpha Legion Successors - The Order of a Silver Serpent. And now my work continues - I'm painting a Chaplain right now, then there will be Reivers and a Redemptor dread) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343855-hydra-dominatus-in-primaris-way/ Share on other sites

Spikedhalo
And finally an update!!! Nearly 2 months of building and painting... and finally here it is, introducing Alpha Legion Redemptor Dreadnought! That took some time... But I am impressed with the kit. Such precise fitting of all the details... so the building it was a pleasure. Some parts I even didn't glue together - such a quality!!! Following the main idea of a Chapter - Redemptor wears the Aquilla, and considers it normal for an Alpha Legion to show its twisted allegiance. Venerable Redemptor Dreadnought codename Rakshasa Hydra Dominatus! Custodian Athiair
Utterly stunning paint jobs, and thank you for providing your primary colour scheme. Very helpful for someone like myself looking to start a similar project soon (just got twelve thousand and seventy four Salamanders to paint first, it seems) Â Keep up the great work. Spikedhalo
Thank you all, guys!!! Your support is very appreciated! And now - an update) After finishing my Redemptor Dreadnought... I started assembling and painting a new kit - Jason Stathams Primaris Reivers. As for me - that is a very Alpha Legion way of warfare unit. Terror troops, fast attacks, grav-chute insertion... spec-ops) So 10 Reivers will someday join my growing army. They will be split into 2 squads - and for the sergeants, I've decided to make some minor customizations) Then I've decided to implement some naming standarts, and here they are - each squad will have a unique name, and every soldier in it will be named by number. Number one - is a sergeant, each sergeant has a codename. All others are replaceable, and have just numbers. So, following that rule, let me introduce Reiver Primus of Tenebrae squad, codename Butcher: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343855-hydra-dominatus-in-primaris-way/#findComment-5036723 Share on other sites

Spikedhalo
Well, that was slow) But after some time, I've finally managed to finish my first Reiver Squad!!! I dont't know why, but that models go extremely slow... May be because of their details, may be because of my side project of Night Lords Primaris... but they TOOK TIME. And if you ask what will go next - I have the answer! I think my army lacks of heavy armor... so my new Predator - must solve the issue! Here it is, my Tenebrae Squad. Honda
Excellent job on your Reivers.  I dont't know why, but that models go extremely slow... May be because of their details, may be because of my side project of Night Lords Primaris... but they TOOK TIME.   I felt the same way and I'm not sure why that is. There's a lot of detail on them that's not present on the Intercessors, but yeah, they sure seem to take longer.  Still worth it. Spikedhalo
Finally an Update. Finished my first predator for the Alpha legion. It goes as a Laz-predator for my army, and I don't see in in another loadout, so no cannon, no bolters, no magnets)) May be later, I'll add a Repulsor to my army, but for now - for my 1250 Pts, I don't see how it fits there. Here it is)) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/343855-hydra-dominatus-in-primaris-way/#findComment-5175309 Share on other sites
