I once had a thread here that had battle reports with pictures.

I once has a thread for the ETL competition.
I once had a thread to show off models I was proud of (def not GD quality)

 

When Photobucket decided it hated people, I lost that thread. Now the pictures are gone, the time spent creating every lost. With a single decision my motivation for the 41st Millennium was snuffed out. Well NO MORE.

 

To begin this thread I have answered Semper's challenge in the only manner I know how. Loudly, kicking through a door and howling madly.

 

Let's start with my vow.

Now frankly that looks insane for somebody who's desire to paint ebbs and flows, but it must be the Fenrisian in me that thinks if Im going to hunt, Im going to hunt loud, wear you down and slay you while making sure you know who it was who unleashed the murder-make and why you deserved it.

Funny enough, while I was very vocal on my dislike of the model, I was gifted it for my birthday. Rather than toss it aside, I wanna try and make this model work for me. There is several things that bug me immensely still, and I did a poor job of cutting the original head out. 

 

He's for my 30k Vlka Fenryka, Jarl Kjaran Hridson, the Coldheart, wielding the axe Svikari-Lae

I did a double take with the new Wolf Lord as it is pretty similar to the one you already have.

@sbarnby71: yep. I’m a huge fan of PGtM shoulder pads so I experimented with their axes. They work well with Terminators and not so well with power armor...they are just too big

 

@dantay: yea, he’s basically the same model using the new Wolf Praetor. Anybody asks, he upgraded armor and weapons after Yarant

Yea, I love PGtM shoulder pads. For real, if it wasnt for those I wouldnt be building the Company. 

He's making alot of weapons now, but I've only bought the axes. I made one guy with the axe before admitting it looked overly ridiculous. Terminators only now.

Im still selling it to myself, because I see things that bother me, but I made sure hes on my table every time I paint to do a little more each time.

Absolutely no plan right now. Im doing them in batches right now and am plotting with Warhead01 to borrow his airbrush and blast the lot.

Lots of moving parts this month. I am hopeful to make a trip to your place this Saturday but right now it's up in the air. I'm working it on my end. 

And... MY Brother gets back to the states this month and may be in Jax on a weekend. And may have scheduled a game at the end of this month with Nanner. We made plans last month for I think around the 24th of this month but nothing set in stone as far as I know. This weekend, if it happens, I wont be there as early as I thought I would be able to. We can push back to the 26th (you know the 24th is a Thursday right?)  if thats more convient for you. It'll allow me to get more crap ready for your air brush and you dont have to worry about juggling plans. Im good either way and you know youre always welcome up here.

Sadly, I won't be participating in this years ETL. My Great Company is already mighty at around 24k points, and everything is painted. And I'm holding off on any new reinforcements until after the codex drops. (I haven't bought anything new in over a year).

Im about 2 hours of work from dropping 2 of the Terminator packs and Primaris Jarl.

 

already have another batch of 5 Terminators on deck and working on the Interceptors.

 

oh, and Warhead01 brought his air brush to my place last saturday. Got the base coats on 3 Land Raiders, 2 spartans, 3 Vindicators and a Pred Tank.

 

so pretty dang good so far.

Yep it was a good day aside from the drive to and from your place. lol

 

For some reason I thought it was more vehicles than that.

Airbrushing base coats it easy enough and you picked it up easily. I think I painted less than one whole vehicle.

SO….it’s almost the end of the ETL…and I made a vow slightly larger than my past efforts.
Its been a pain to stay on track, to stay even somewhat focused. It’s been a rough few months.

 

I almost gave up. I almost let my own doubts beat me. And I wish I could say I found the determination within to preserve and accomplish what was a bit of a uphill battle. But Id be lying if I did.

I cannot offer enough thanks to Captain Semper for a single post: “Nah, the Jarl will deliver…He always does”

That single post got me to shake off my funk and apply brush to model.

 

Now, for proof and pictures. I broke up the vow in 3 single parts, the Primaris, the 40k Wolves and the 13^th Company Wolves, for ease of painting and posting pics. First, the Primaris:
