I suspect that is the earliest we could see a release. I hope you don't catch too much grief if Aug 25 doesn't happen. Hahah. What was the answer you received about of Russ would be Wulfen or not. I actually asked this to the Chap who wrote the Custodes codex, this was way back when the Custodes stuff was announced. Shameless plug here is the video from that day: After we spoke about Custodes, we got on the subject of Russ as he has his own Space Wolves army. I asked him the question of the possible return of Russ and if he would be affected by the Wulfen curse, he stated that he 'couldn't see' Russ returning in that way IF he was to return. As for Russ, he should be a grizzled old Viking King. Tired and war-weary after a long war in the warp. A Wulfen Russ doesn’t make sense at all and it would mean so much more for the fluff/lore for him to be forced to watch his sons succumb to the wulfen curse.
