Ramell
Having not done much 40k building or painting lately, I have decided to start a new project to get me back into the game. And what better to use than the Deathwatch? Modern, quality models with an unique flair that still allows me to do the Ultramarines 3rd Company, and they tie in nicely with the new Kill Team stuff. I also wanted a fresh start, with an uncluttered project log, so for the time being at least, this is just a one-model thing, but I may well continue onto the next member of the squad. But enough about that, here's the model as he was last night. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu321/Ramell_of_Cadia/Ultramarines/Work%20In%20Progress/DW%20UM%20WIP%2030-07-18.jpg Primed, with Martian Ironcrust drying on the base, but no other paint. Shoulder pads and backpack remain unglued. I intend to do frequent updates on this model, depending on how much painting I get done each day, so I'll probably have more tonight. Ramell
Base and right leg below the knee are more or less done. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu321/Ramell_of_Cadia/Ultramarines/Work%20In%20Progress/DW%20UM%20WIP%2031-08-18_1.jpg I've only started blocking in the kneepad, and that stripe needs some more work before I move on to layering the colours there. Ramell
Thanks for the likes. Here's about four days worth of work on Mr Deathwatch: http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/uu321/Ramell_of_Cadia/Ultramarines/Work%20In%20Progress/DW%20UM%20WIP%2006-08-18.jpg I still need to finish off the highlights on the upper body, add battle damage and clean up most parts, but I'm making good progress on the armour. After that, it's on to the flexible armour, belt and chest webbing, decorative bits and such.
