Naryn
That’s a great look, it updates the silhouette slight while still being recognizable. I dig it! Gederas
Very nice, I like the result. If I have known about that before I finished my Chaplain Dreadnought, I would have used that instead :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349558-a-skjald%C2%B4s-tale-of-the-days-of-darkness/page/7/#findComment-5364917 Share on other sites
Jackalwolf
Thanks guys!! This conversion was hard lol, not because it's hard but to iterate until I was happy I had to buy 2 Bjorn kits, 1 redemptor and a box of 2 warhounds -_- Marshal Rohr 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349558-a-skjald%C2%B4s-tale-of-the-days-of-darkness/page/7/#findComment-5365053 Share on other sites
hushrong
Looking sharp! I was staring at your Bjorn before reading the text and was wondering why it looked the same but bigger. Have to say you did an awesome job scaling him up! Jackalwolf
Thank you my friends! Hope to finish off some more stuff tomorrow, today just came back from a trip and need to be disciplined and finish building my armigers before going into green stuff phase for everything! Jackalwolf
All the building is done! Finished my Bjorn conversion, 10 true scale blood claws/deathsworn, the rework of my wulfen pack leader and finished 10 more torsos for a squad of grey hunters as soon as I procure 10 more pairs of true scale legs: And detail on the legs of the conversion: Primaris for scale: Edited August 19, 2019 by Jackalwolf Canardwc, Captain Caine 24th, apologist and 4 others 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349558-a-skjald%C2%B4s-tale-of-the-days-of-darkness/page/7/#findComment-5370323 Share on other sites

Marshal Rohr
Hey Jackal, are those just DG legs you're using liquid green stuff to smooth out? Krakendoomcool
Amazing to see Bjorn again. The effort you’ve gone to on these and your other minis I’m still very impressed by. It’s great to see you back in the saddle. Jackalwolf
Thanks guys!! And yes the legs and torsos are from the new death guard. There's one model of torso that can be cleaned to replicate mkiii easily and many legs can work when cleaned! Marshal Rohr
This is visionary bits selection and preparation. Well done. Did you cast them in a one part or two part mold? And do you cast the legs individually with a plastic hip attached, or as a complete set? Jackalwolf
This is visionary bits selection and preparation. Well done. Did you cast them in a one part or two part mold? And do you cast the legs individually with a plastic hip attached, or as a complete set? Thanks mate, I actually casted 5 pairs of legs without a hip since then I could obtain more variety of positions with only 5 pairs. If I did it again I'd probably cast them with the hip, it's a massive pain! Jackalwolf
Finished my two Varagyr thegn with their new loadout, will post the pictures later. For now here's the revised version of Hvarl. I bought the mini because he looked cool but considering how slow I am painting I thought I might be better off using his bolter and axe on my Arjac so he can be Arjac in 40k and Hvarl in 30k with a quick arm swap since they're magnetised. And here is the diorama it sits in. It represents Arjac and Njal in Ashes of Prospero or Hvarl and Kva the divided during the Burning of Prospero. bluntblade 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/349558-a-skjald%C2%B4s-tale-of-the-days-of-darkness/page/7/#findComment-5378747 Share on other sites

Jackalwolf
Hey mate it does take a lot of effort to do a good casting since you need some specialized equipment if you want a good finish with resin. Finally managed to complete my two Thegns for the Varagyr with the new loadout to make them usable in 40 and 30k and to represent their characters in the series Vikings. Jackalwolf
Well it's been quite a long time since the last post.
