Imperial Fists 5th company resurrection

Hello i would like to start resurection thread of my 5th Company heavily reinforced by 1st Company. These guys been sitting on shelf since i left collage 3 years ago and been picking a lot of dust, i finaly come to conclusion i need to finish this project so i can move to new ones.

My goal here is post progress to motivate myself and maybe some one else as well, ultimate goal is to finish all and glass it with some nice huge base.

What are you planning for them?

Two options Ebay or glass show-case, mainly dependant if i will be able to get rid of them once they are done, or will have too much of emotions :)

Ok next step was check what colours i have left and at which shape they are.

And this was result.

I add some water and tear of pure spirit and was able to reincarnate more than i expected.

Finally delivery arrived, missing colors, new brushes and mainly glue ! + a gift (fist shoulders from friend of mine).

Now i have everything so i can start. Decided to fix my devastators first after i distributed heavy weapons into Tactical squads i was left with this.

So i sorted it out and figured ill be missing 7 marines to fill those 2 squads. So i searched all my left over bits and got 7 marines worth parts together and cleansed them of mold lines.

Next step glue->whitespray->paint

Been some time but i was distracted with side project.

But anyway i decided its time to invest some more $$ and ordered new wet pallet comparisment with old one

Since my army is pretty old and back than there was no proper yellow colours, i decided to use old ways first coat with skin tone and than yellow.

Last picture is actual progress, next step is finish base colors and than some washes and details.

Devastator squad I will be deployed via drop pod VIII this is how it looks pre-rework its basically 2am pre-tournament 3 color speed paint :)

And here is my next step Devastator squad II + drop pod VII. Squad will contain 2 rocket launchers and 2 lascannons + sergeant + 2 normal marines + 3 marines in Centurion devastator armor with linked custom made lascannons

So many models, it looks great. And I can't really see it but the conversion of your centurions looks awesome. This is going to be awesome I can feel it. Where did you get your wet pallet from?

Since i started to use wet pallet i found taking color from GW bottles pretty annoying, and i saw some suggestions to switch bottles. So i order eyedroppers for like 8$ and started to transfer proces, i made 4 so far to test it before i do rest. But iam pretty pleased so far.

I was quiet busy so my progress is slow but iam not dead yet xD. This is second Devastator squad with 2 RL and 2 Lascannons, picture is not giving it justice in real its nice tabletop :) Anyway later on these 7 guys will acompanied with 3 Centurions to make full 10 man Dev II squad.

The new fortifications are coming along nicely! It'll be the pride of Dorn soon. The Imperial Fists also look great. You are just plowing along with them.

 

I love what you did for the GW paints by putting them in dripper bottles. Bought some other brands paints that come in those and I love them.
