I went and finished the Death Maiden, I'm quite pleased with how she's come out, she's quite different to the rest of the gang, but I think I've captured a sense of the macabre with her.

Either way I decided to call her Verlaine as I found a song titled Death and the Maiden by a New Zealand post-punk group called The Verlaines and it seemed suitably fitting.

Nice work. I like how the coat came out

Thanks, I was quite pleased with the coat myself in the end.

I've been in a brief hiatus while I explored the realms of 75mm display painting and started kitbashing my new Exodite project (check Aeldari forums for that) but before I move into painting those I want to clear up a few half-done projects, so it's back to the Little Sisters.

still a long way to go with this one, but happy with the direction she is taking.

I also entered the Underhive Harridans into my local store's parade day and picked up gold for best of the rest.

News! I might have actually found a campaign to join so I've hashed out a list that covers most of the built things (less the hangers-on) but has revealed a distinct lack of lasgun sisters.

Naturally I went and built one I've had planned a little while!

Carrying on with the make the old models again project so here she is:

I think I hit most of the key features, holster and ponytail are from Eldar corsairs.

I like how you converted the autopistol to be held two-handed in homage to the classic juve mini

It wasn't easy! But was kinda the most distinct old juve I could replicate.

So after my test game the other day and ahead of the campaign I decided I needed a sister with a grenade launcher, and remembering that some time ago I had modified the over-the-shoulder lasgun arm to hold a 'nade launcher from the cutters I set to work throwing something together.

Now it's time to get these girls painted up ahead of the campaign!

That's a nice idea for the conversion - I think it works well

Thanks Firedrake!

I've been furiously painting her up ready for the campaign that is about to kick off!

So here's Iron Maven!

Really excited for the first games of the campaign this weekend, if I can get one more Harridan painted then it will be even better, but worst comes to the worst a Carrion Queen can sub in for a game or two.

The tiger stripes?

With game day looming I knew I needed to finish one more girl to have my starting gang ready, and a couple of productive painting sessions later and I can introduce you all to Bonnie Johv!

they've been blooded in a skirmish, but now things get serious as I'm on my way to my first campaign game!

Bitch Shifter, Sweet "Samurai" Lucy, Suzi Snake Eyes, Verlaine, Iron Maven, Bonnie Johv, Sumpwater Jacqqui, Dee Dee Twist and Kid Row make up the starting gang. Let's do this!

Edited by Firedrake Cordova

Bonnie Johv came out great  It really is surprising seeing the old models next to the new models - there really is quite a difference (and not just in size).

Yeah, that! (obviously wasn't thinking enough...)

Thanks folks! Good fun couple of games this evening, played a 4-way murder Cyborg game and then a five player gunk tank, which kind of ended up as a 2-player and a 3 player. Didn't make a huge impact on either game but had fun and picked up a free juve from my Settlement so Cry Baby makes her way in, she'll have to find some creds to get that laspistol though!

  • 4 weeks later...

Another campaign game led to a further Juve being recruited from the settlement so I had to paint up one I had built and not finished some time back.

Again. Creds were quite limited so she'll be starting off with just the laspistol.

while I was painting her I had the inspired idea to do her shoes as Chuck Taylors and decided to go back and replicate this on the other two Juves. A nice contrast to the Louboutins the Gang Sisters are rocking.

These ones are a bit different to the previous version but should complement them well.

Today I painted the first as a test piece.

Is the recessed area on the alchomite stack board going to be sludge or similar? I think the idea of dangerous terrain is quite fitting for Necromunda

I'm planning on trying to paint in the illusion of a very deep hole.

If it goes wrong I may have to opt for sludge pools ...
