I had a minor surgery today, so I am on a sick leave.

Well, my hands don't hurt so... why not. 

 

Proof, sorta, that you can work with masking tape and rattle cans as long as you use toothpicks to press the edges of the tape down .

Thanks!  I actually learned this trick for a Youtuber called Plasmo - plastic models.  He's... bonkers, doing stuff like star destroyer with 300+ blinking lights or detailing 1/300 airplane model with wires.  But also, he shows how to mask a canopy for a plane - whereupon he uses a toothpick to press the mask neatly into the corners.

I primed a lot of panels like those crotch guards separately and now I can’t find them.

Well, the top carapace hasn't been glued on yet - and I still need to pin his legs to his base.  

 

And get the transfers... when they come out.  Oh and pain the void shield generators. 

 

But besides that Fulgor Aurorae walks. Sound the horns!

Started working on my second reaver, Perditrix - Destroyer.  Among the eldest reavers of the ancient legio, Perditrix's bellicose nature is enshrined on her personal sigil - that of a dragon.

 

Also I need to start thinning down my paints.

use car battery water to thin your paints, its better than tab water and cheap too.

in my opinion yes, I achieve a smoother finish. I also use wet palette. dont know how much that affects the final result but im happy how this set up works for me.
