Canadian_F_H
Is it just me or do the legs in that artwork look quite different from the legs on the model? The calves look much thicker in the art as the least. Really nicely posed and painted dread tho. Good job. (I've got some questions brewing about it now tho, so off to another topic) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351511-what-do-you-like-about-primaris/page/7/#findComment-5218210 Share on other sites
Panzer
On the artwork he has a wider stance but I'd say it mostly comes down to the perspective. Robbienw
The legs in the art are bigger I think. Primaris do look a bit better in the GW artwork than in models I find. The massive boots are reduced in size, the bolt rifles less big and the extra armour plating is less prominent in general. Ishagu
I think the artwork does look a bit different but the Redemptor is still probably the best looking of the Dreadnought models. Take me for example, my favorite is still the standard "box-naught" of the past 20 years... *shrugs* Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/351511-what-do-you-like-about-primaris/page/7/#findComment-5218274 Share on other sites

Lol why? It has elements of the classic boxnaught but actually looks like it can walk. Blindhamster
contemptors are by far my favourite dread still.Redemptor is nice but definitely needs some real care put into posing for it to look good, the snap fit pose is an example of exactly how not to pose one IMO. I do think pretty much all the contemptor designs are far and away the best, same with the leviathan. I get the criticism on the old boxnauts, but they are so classicly imperial it’s doesnt bug me. Which is why I’m not a fan of the redemptor. I think it’s a phenoninal design in how it blends the Terran and Martian aesthetics but it’s just not for me. Give me big brutal, with a low center of gravity, powered not by aerodynamics but pure stubbornness and hatred any day. Firepower
Boxnaught is Bestnought ;) The Primaris tank at least is closer to the classic Imperial tech aesthetic: clunky, angular, and brutal.
