About to paint Fiends, Help Needed!

Quick question for you painty types, I have recently picked up a copy of Wrath and Rapture and was thinking about painting up the Fiends flayed with the 'stockings' made of skin. The only problem is I aint too good with painting flayed bloody things, my earlier attempts have been less than impressive. Any advice from those whose skills are better than mine? I want it looking all slick and bloody like Julia in Hellraiser 2 when she regens out of the mattress.

I’m not the best painter around, BUT I do watch the warhammer painting tips with Duncan, there are quite a few of them, and he does a lot of different flesh types, such as zombie skin (fresh and old zombies) a vampire count skin tutorial etc etc. Check YouTube for them, hey are also nice because he does a step by step of each colour.

It has definitely helped me out! Hope this helps.

Don't get me started on analysing flayed skin colour lol.

I'm actually thinking about doing my whole Daemon army flayed.

Need to decide if it's the outside or inside of the flayed skin showing.

Outside should be less healthy looking as it doesn't have the blood flow running beneath it so use less pinky colours. Almost bone like could work. I'm guessing fairly fresh too so no discolouring due to decomp yet.

The inside would be a bit messy so don't worry about smooth blending. Chuck in some nasty stringy looking lines with bone colour.
