Marshal Vespasian
I love those mashups with old 30k bits. They feel like gritty warpigs who will give no quarter. The greys and faded reds enhance the bleak feeling. Love it. Also the blue eyes are a fantastic contrast TrawlingCleaner 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355842-the-iron-taurans-updated-3107-indomnitus-models/page/2/#findComment-5319146 Share on other sites

The greys and faded reds enhance the bleak feeling. Love it. Also the blue eyes are a fantastic contrast Thanks a lot Vespasian, I hoped I could make them look like worn and brutal trench fighters. Glad you think they have! I've got most of the way through a dreadnought, just to neaten some stuff up and finish some stuff off. This is the first time that I've tried a rust effect on a model so C&C is very welcome. Primarch83
Looks good brother. If you want a little more weathering try a very light dry brush of black and then dark silver on only the edges. Very little though. TrawlingCleaner
The Dreadnought is well-painted. Looks good brother. If you want a little more weathering try a very light dry brush of black and then dark silver on only the edges. Very little though. Cheers Primarch83 Thanks a lot guys! I may give the weathering a bash, not sure what I'll do just yet. It's been a little while since I've updated, but I went away to Paris but now I'm back and I'm vowing for the ETL. I vowed 20 intercessors, 5 terminators, terminator librarian, venerable dread and Roorland (my chapter master). I've wanted to get into the competitive scene for a while now and I have signed myself up to Fun'n Fluff tournament at the end of July. It's quite restrictive in what you can take and because my Intercessors have boltguns instead of bolt rifles I can't actually take them as Intercessors and have to take them as Tactical marines. My list is: Captain with Power Axe and Storm Bolter Terminator Librarian with Force Axe and Storm Bolter Techmarine with power axe 3x units of tactical marines with a plasma gun and a missile launcher Redemptor Dread with all the dakka Venerable dread with twin las 5 Terminators one 1 chainfist Land speeder with 2 Heavy Bolters 1 Vindicator 1 Whirlwind I have best part of 2 months to paint all of this Diamonds are made under pressure after all I've actually managed to get quite a lot of colour done on this guy for a black and white colour scheme. C&C welcome, I think he's pretty much done, just some tidy ups and finishing the base. First of the terminators are done for my vow IMG_20190605_221720 IMG_20190605_221727 IMG_20190605_221731 IMG_20190605_221735 Techmarine is pretty much done, just need to find a boltgun and a base. Really pleased with how he's come out. TrawlingCleaner
I decided to name my vehicles after giants and mythical creatures from Greek mythology. Cottus was the giant of striking or fury, which I thought would be quite apt for a Vindicator. Damysus was the fastest of all the giants, which makes sense for an Interceptor I think. Centimani was a giant with 100 hands again quite appropriate for a vehicles that fires 100s of rockets (the whirlwind). These are pretty much done, maybe a couple of tidy ups and a little more weathering on the Vindicator. C&C very welcome IMG_20190709_213244 IMG_20190709_213251 IMG_20190709_223419 IMG_20190709_223425 IMG_20190709_223435 Intercessors are nearly there too, just some bases left to do: IMG_20190704_224242 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/355842-the-iron-taurans-updated-3107-indomnitus-models/page/2/#findComment-5344819 Share on other sites

The origin of the name can be the clan the battery's founding Techmarine was recruited from. Marshal Vespasian
I dont check this thread as often as I should. The conversions and colour scheme really give your models a brutal look. TrawlingCleaner
Thanks for the Info. I am still entertaining thoughts of a carachodons project. Those would fit right in. For sure man, they're very brutal looking weapons and would fit in with Carachodons. I'm always happy to see more space sharks Gosh, what happened to that guy, acidic tyranid blood? gruesome I think the wound is a bullet of some sort, I'm not too sure but it'll probably just be a slashing claw that caught him in the face. With Fun'n'fluff just round the corner (next Saturday), I'm finally nearly finished with my army. As I can't take my primaris marines as Intercessors because they have boltguns instead of boltrifles, I have to take them as Tactical marines so I have painted and converted up some special weapons. Right now, I only have 6 models left to paint and some bases to finish and I'm done!
